Stop At: Museo Judio, Libertad 769-C.A.B.A., Buenos Aires Argentina

We will visit the Jewish Museum where we’ll learn about the origins and development of the Argentine Jewish Community and discuss about the great immigration of the late 1800s

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District

During the following hours, we’ll visit the Libertad Synagogue and we’ll explore the Jewish neighborhood of Once, as well as Tribunales and Retiro.
While visiting iconic landmarks to the Jew history in our country, we will tell you about the iconic Jewish Gauchos of the countryside, the 1919 BA pogrom and the rise of antisemitism in Argentina and the WW2 traces left in Argentina: Peronism, Nazis, Allies, the hunt for Eichmann.
The tour is mostly a walking tour but to get to certain parts of the city we will take public transportation such as the subway (metro).

Next, we’ll walk around the messy streets of Once neighborhood, known as one of the traditional Jewish Neighborhoods in the city.

As the tour continues, see the Supreme Courthouse from outside. In this part of the tour, history converges on the military governments and its implications in the community: The Disappeared Jews of the 1976 military dictatorship.

Pass By: Teatro Colon, Calle Cerrito 628, Buenos Aires C1012 Argentina

On our way to AMIA, we will pass by the famous opera house: the impressive Colon theatre. We will see from outside one of the most impressive landmarks of Buenos Aires.

Stop At: Asociación Mutual Israelita Argentina, Pasteur 633, C1028 AAM, Buenos Aires, Argentina

The Mother Institution of Jewish life, we will see it from outside and learn about the 90’s terrorist attacks and aftermath; the current events and challenges faced by the community nowadays.
