What to Expect When Visiting Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

An introductory tour of Sydney, visiting some of the main sites of the city. This tour is exclusively for your group of 1-7 guests. Pass through the historic Rocks area, where European settlement began. Take in spectacular views of Sydney Harbour from a number of vantage points which offer great views of Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. Travel through trendy suburban neighborhoods and stop at famous beachside areas including Bondi and Manly.

You will be picked up from your Sydney CBD hotel at 7.45am. The tour starts with a drive through The Rocks, the area where European settlement in Australia truly began. Here, you can see some of the nineteenth century streets and buildings where Sydney’s first European settlers lived and worked.

Pass through some other interesting neighborhoods in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, such as trendy Paddington – famed for its leafy streets and Victorian townhouses. Along the way, stop at the popular Mrs Macquarie’s Chair viewpoint to admire the harbour and the city which embraces it.

Heading further out, reach Watsons Bay at the entrance to the harbour. From the sandstone cliffs you can take in the city skyline and the headlands of the harbour entrance.

Next, head to Bondi, Sydney’s most famous beach. Stop for pictures, and perhaps a waterfront stroll before heading back towards the city via Centennial Park.

Travel over Sydney Harbour Bridge and pass through some of the north shore neighborhoods before arriving at Manly, one of Sydney’s most appealing beach-side suburbs. You can take a walk past the shops and eateries of the Corso, a pleasant precinct linking the harbor with Manly’s attractive ocean-side waterfront. At about 12.45pm, you can either be driven back to your hotel or finish the tour in Manly (perhaps stay in the area for lunch) and then make your own way back by public ferry across the harbour (ferry tickets at own expense).
