Itinerary
Day 1: Alice Springs – Uluru
Stop At: Mount Conner, Lasseter Highway Curtin Springs, West MacDonnell National Park, Northern Territory 7140 Australia
Travel from Alice Springs to Uluru aboard a luxury coach. Take in the rugged desert landscapes of the region, passing through the beautiful MacDonnell Ranges. While travelling through this remote country, your friendly Driver Guide will provide an informative and entertaining commentary. Learn the natural and geological history of the region, as well as the unique Australian desert flora and fauna such as the Perentie monitor lizard, the thorny devil and the red kangaroo. Also hear about the traditional customs and beliefs of the local Aboriginal people. There is time for a stop at a local roadhouse for a quick break then view flat-topped Atila (Mt. Conner) in the distance before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort rested, relaxed and ready to explore the amazing World Heritage listed Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.

Visit the Uluru–Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre – explore the Tjukurpa tunnel and read about the history, and flora and fauna of the park

Join your Driver Guide for a short walk to the Mutitjulu Waterhole at the base of Uluru. View ancient rock art and hear stories of traditional Anangu life. Learn the Tjukurpa (creation) story of Kuniya and Liru.

Later, travel to the Uluru sunset viewing area, and relax with sparkling wine as the sun sets over the western horizon and the evening sky brings out the myriad shades of colour for which Uluru is renowned. Day 2: Uluru – Kata Tjuta – Alice Springs
Stop At: Talinguru Nyakunytjaku – Uluru Sunrise Viewing Area, Mutitjulu NT 0872, Australia
Rise early and travel into Uluru–Kata Tjuta National Park. Enjoy a warming tea, coffee or hot chocolate as the dawn creeps across the desert plain and lights up Uluru.

Enjoy a panoramic view of the southern side of Kata Tjuta from the Dune Viewing platform. Uluru can also be easily seen on the distant horizon from this lookout. Your Driver Guide will provide insight into the history and geology of this ancient land.
