Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures Tours & Attractions

Explore Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures, an award-winning eco-tourism attraction located between Cairns and Port Douglas. Cruise the wetlands to see crocodiles lazing on the riverbanks and witness the stealth and power of these prehistoric animals at the Crocodile Attack show. This innovative wildlife park has five distinct zones, showcasing Australian wildlife in their natural environment. On this fun filled day tour you can take in the magnificent views aboard the Kuranda Scenic Rail, spend some free time in the mountaintop village of Kuranda, then soar above the rainforest canopy on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. Our coach will then transfer you to Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures – the best place to see crocodiles in Tropical North Queensland! At Hartley’s you’ll explore the Melaleuca Wetlands on a boat cruise, marvel at the death roll of a Saltwater Crocodile and explore the wildlife park - home to Koala’s, Wallabies and Queensland’s Southern Cassowaries.

Start the day with a hot Aussie breakfast in the company of a cute koala and its keeper departing from Cairns or Palm Cove. See crocodiles up close and take a boat cruise on Hartley’s Lagoon where you can witness crocodiles feeding. Get up close to kangaroos, wallabies, snakes, cassowaries, quolls and other iconic Australian wildlife. Enjoy entertaining and educational wildlife presentations throughout the day.

'Hartley's Breakfast with the Koalas' A great way to start your day is breakfast at Hartley's Crocodile Adventures. Breakfast relaxing on the deck overlooking Hartley's Lagoon. A delicious cooked breakfast, including scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, sausages & toast with fruit juice, tea or coffee. One of our Wildlife Keepers will be on the deck between 9:00am & 9:30am with a Koala. This is a great time to ask questions learn more about this amazing Australian animal. After breakfast, enjoy all the wildlife presentations at Hartley's Crocodile Adventures including a boat cruise on Hartley's Lagoon.

Breakfast is available daily from 8:30am – 9:30am.

Self-drive visitors should arrive at 8:30am in readiness for an 8:45am start for breakfast.

The breakfast package includes general admission, a boat cruise on Hartley’s Lagoon & all of the daily wildlife presentations.

Your adventure begins at 8:00 AM with a hotel pick-up. With only 20 guests, enjoy a personal and informative tour as we head to Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures, arriving by 8:50 AM. Take a boat cruise on Hartley’s Lagoon to witness thrilling crocodile feeding, followed by free time to explore the park's wildlife, including koalas, kangaroos, and more.

At 11:35 AM, your guide will pick you up for a ride on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, where you'll enjoy breathtaking views. In Kuranda, explore its vibrant markets and cafes, or opt for the wildlife experiences.

At 3:30 PM, board the Kuranda Scenic Railway for a scenic trip through the rainforest. End your day with a sunset stroll along Palm Cove’s beach, enjoying a drink before returning to Port Douglas at dusk.

Hartley's Crocodile Adventures is the only wildlife park here that offers a boat cruise as part of the admission fee. We also have our Gallery of Living Art where you will see many different Reptiles, marvel at the Komodo Dragon and giant reticulated python. Cassowary walk, see the new Cotton Top Tamarin monkeys, many crocodile displays, also an insight into our crocodile farm and how it contributes to the conservation of wild crocodiles and their habitat. Free flight aviaries. See koalas & wombats. Gondwana Gateway 'bridge between two worlds' The interpretative signage explains how isolation and adaption shaped our unique fauna over time.
