Pass By: Palace of the Shirvanshahs, Zamkovskaya Side-street, 76 Icherisheher, Baku 1000 Azerbaijan

The Shirvanshahs Palace is one of the oldest and most fascinating monuments of Azerbaijan architecture, which belongs to the rulers of Shirvan, is located on the shores of the Caspian Sea in Baku. Has long been palace ensemble attracted the attention of researchers throughout the country, it is because there was no such famous monument, which was occupied by so many scientists. The palace with all its incoming buildings occupies a reasonably large space, but the building is a two-story structure, quite simple in architectural design. Therefore, scientists suggest that this is the very first building of the architectural ensemble. Shirvanshah Palace is the pearl of the architectural heritage of Azerbaijan located in the heart of Baku. Amazingly beautiful complex beside the palace includes Divan Khan courtyard, tomb, the mosque of 1441, as well as the bathrooms and mausoleum of court scholar Seyid Yahya Bakuvi.

Stop At: Maiden Tower, Qız Qalası, Bakı, Azerbaijan

Maiden Tower in Baku is considered a symbol of the capital of Azerbaijan. Known locally as Giz Galasi (Qiz Qalasi), it is located in the heart of the old city known as Icheri Sheher and is truly one-of-a-kind.

Stop At: Museum of Miniature Books, 9R8M+G2M, Baku 1000, Azerbaijan

One of Baku’s charming oddities, this small museum presents books that are so small you’d need a magnifying glass to read the print. The fact that so many minuscule publications have been printed at all is a surprise, and amassing the thousands shown here has been a lifetime’s passion for collector Zərifə Salahova who started the place in 2002.

Stop At: Multani Caravansarai, Qalla Street Old City, Baku Azerbaijan

Multani caravansaray located opposite to the Bukhаrа cаravаnsаrаy. It constructed in 15th century and acted as shelter for Indian merchants. And palmers visiting the temple of fire worshippers in Absheron Peninsula. Presently Multan is a city in Pakistan. The name of the caravansaray related with the frequent visits of fire worshippers from Multan city to Baku. It known that they had constructed the “Ateshgah” temple in Surakhany.

Stop At: Bukhara Caravanserai, Qalla Street Old City, Baku Azerbaijan

Construction of Bukhara Caravanserai dates back to the 15th century. It was a small and rectangular one-story building with 18 vaulted rooms and a courtyard, in the center of which was a reservoir. On the inside, the Silk Road caravanserai was surrounded by a gallery that ran along the perimeter near the guestrooms. A second floor was added in later years.

Stop At: Juma Mosque, Asaf Zeynalli 49, Baku 1000 Azerbaijan

Juma mosque or mosque in the Icheri-sheher has been functioning since the 12th century. This mosque was built in 1899 at the funds of Baku philanthropist Khadja Shikhali Dadashev. In 1888 the Russian academician A.Pavlinov took measurements of the Juma Mosque. The mosque was built on the site of the temple of fire worshipers. Only four uncoated arches remained from the old building, they allegedly belonged to the temple. According to many modern archaeologists, there was a pagan sacred center on the site of Juma Mosque, where the fire worshipers gathered.
