Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Srinagar- Transfer to Sonamarg – Sightseeing – Overnight stay at Sonamarg
Stop At: Sonamarg, Srinagar India
Arrive at Srinagar Airport by 9 am, meet your fellow travelers and captain, hop into your tempo/bus/car and start the journey to Sonamarg. The road to Sonamarg is very pretty. There are many grasslands on the way, and as you move closer to Sonamarg, the Sind river becomes eminent. The beautiful river Sind gives this place extraordinary beauty. We will have a stop for breakfast somewhere near the river, have breakfast and sit by the river. Reach Sonamarg by 12 pm, check-in into hotel. Freshen up and enjoy the beauty of Sonamarg, get to know each other from the group and rest for the night.

Day 2: Depart to Leh. Enroute, Kargil War Memorial, Lamayuru and 3 high passes
Pass By: Lamayuru Monastery (Yuru Gompa), Srinagar-Kargil-Leh Road, Lamayuru 194106 India
Wake up early morning and post breakfast depart for Leh. It’s a beautiful route, though quite long about 10 hours including stops for lunch, snacks and sightseeing. Just after Sonamarg, we will reach Zero Point which is full of snow. Let’s go out and jump into the snow! Pelt each other with snowballs, make a snowman, dive in the snow, cover your face with snowflakes!!! Get the kid out of you and enjoy in this beautiful snowy place!
Stop at Kargil war memorial, Evoking a feeling of nationalism and patriotism at one glance. The memorial that is built to honor our soldiers who fought bravely in the Kargil war against our neighboring country. Later comes Kargil a small town. Next, we will visit Lamayuru Monastery, the oldest and one of the largest monasteries in Ladakh.
Reach Leh by evening. Check-in into the hotel. Take rest after a long journey and acclimatize, rest the night.

Day 3: Leh local sightseeing. This is going to be a relaxing day.
Stop At: Shanti Stupa Road 500 steps from Changspa Road, Leh 194101 India
Today we will be covering Shanti Stupa, the most important monument in Leh. After that Leh Palace a former royal palace overlooking the town of Leh, Ladakh, in the Indian Himalayas. The day is free after that, spend the time in local cafes and get to know local people and ladakhi culture. Go shopping in Leh Local Market or use this day as you want to.
Make sure we don’t exhaust ourselves as this day is important for acclimatization.

Day 4: Bike trip to confluence of Indus and Zanskar rivers(Sangam); rafting (optional)
Stop At: Confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers, Leh India
After breakfast, we will start our bike/tempo trip towards the sham valley. Sham Valley includes Alchi, Likir, Basgo, Zanskar and Indus Confluence at Nimmu, Magnetic Hills, Gurudwara Pather Sahib… Gosh, a long list but they all are very much close to each other and requires a drive for the complete tour and back to Leh in a day. Remember, this is not going to be so easy but a ride for a lifetime. You can ride ATV’s, and it is an optional activity. Those who want can book it on the spot.
People who are interested in rafting here can go for it. Rafting over here is a fun adventure. You can race the two rafts, flick water onto each other, jump into the river and lot. Reach Leh by evening and rest for the night.

Day 5: Khardung La & Nubra Valley
Stop At: Khardung La Road, 194101 India
After breakfast check out of the hotel. Head for beautiful Nubra Valley via Khardung La(Highest motorable road) at 17,582 ft. You’ll find yourself surrounded between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. It is covered in snow all through the year. You will see prayer flags flying proudly in the wind, the mountains standing tall, white and surveying all. Click some pictures here and enjoy the snow.

Stop At: Nubra Valley, 194101 India
Reach Hunder in Nubra, the only cold desert of India and visit the sand dunes, meet those two-humped Bactrian camels. You can take a camel safari which itself is a unique experience. We are going to stay in a very nice camp in the middle of nowhere along with bonfire and stargazing.

Day 6: Pangong Lake
Stop At: Pangong Tso, Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, India; Ladakh, , India;, Leh 194101 India
After breakfast in the morning head to Pangong Tso. Pangong lake changes its color 4-5 times a day and with a backdrop of mountains of various hues and colors, it is a sight for the Gods.
Once we cross Tangste village, the route is incredibly beautiful. Pangong Lake lies 38 km from this point, and one sees clear streams, big grasslands, running horses, marmots. It is an absolutely fantastic panorama.
Reach Pangong Lake and check-in to the campsite. We will be staying in swiss deluxe tents. Freshen up, get ready and head down to the lake. The water will be freezing cold and of course, we will sit near the lake and scream as our toes go numb! The night is going to be an amazing experience a silent lake in the front, and mountains all around with millions of stars. I don’t think you will ever see more stars anywhere than here.

Day 7: Return Leh Via Chang La(Third highest motorable road)
Pass By: Changla Pass, India
Wake up early morning to witness a mesmerizing sunrise. After breakfast, head back to Leh Via might Chang La Pass(Third Highest motorable road). After clicking some pictures here, visiting chang la baba temple.
Stop At: Thiksey Monastery, Leh Manali Highway, Leh 194101 India
We then stop at the beautiful Thiksey Monastery.
Reach Leh by evening, check-in at the hotel. In the evening, we can go out to some of the popular cafes.

Day 8: Depart for Leh airport
