Extensive beach, bathed by the calm waters of Guanabara Bay, from where you can see the Sugar Loaf, Morro da Urca, the landing and take-off of the planes at Santos Dumont Airport and, in the background, the city of Niterói. The edge of the beach extends throughout the Aterro do Flamengo, where the current geographic conformation is the result of a great work of grounding between the restinga of Flamengo and the old beach of the Russel, in the district of Catete. Flamengo Beach has its access through Flamengo embankment Park, another striking scenery of the city that starts at Santos Dumont Airport in the center of the city, and goes to Botafogo Beach in the South Zone. The park was designed as a complex of leisure, culture and sports practices.
