Day 1: Welcome to Pernambuco
Stop At: Olinda, Olinda, State of Pernambuco
Arrival at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Take a discovery tour along the streets of Olinda with colourful houses and breathtaking views. The churches are mingling with coconut trees and the skyscrapers of Recife can be seen on the horizon. Pernambuco is a special state in Brazil, preserving a Dutch colonial look, which is different from other regions carrying Portuguese or French influences. Continue to Boa Viagem beach in Recife, passing through old bridges. You will see the contrast between the modern neighbourhoods and the old towns. In Recife the old town is very cute, with canals and colourful houses. Overnight at Pousada Quatro Cantos.

Day 2: Arrival on Fernando de Noronha
Stop At: Fernando de Noronha, Fernando de Noronha, State of Pernambuco
After breakfast you will be transferred to Recife airport to board your flight to Fernando de Noronha island. On arrival you will be transferred to your pousada. This island is famous by its pristine beaches, great conditions for practising surfing and other watersports, as well as diving and splendid natural beauty. Take a charming historical walking tour visiting Vila dos Remédios, the main village of the island, where a great part of the historical sites are, amongst which the Nossa Senhora dos Remédios Fort. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, in a relaxed island atmosphere. Overnight at Solar dos Ventos.

Day 3: Boat Trip

After breakfast depart on a half day shared boat tour, passing by the charming secluded beaches of Fernando de Noronha. It is always so nice to see hilly islands from the sea – a much better perspective opens up. There are stops for swimming and snorkelling at Sancho Bay and Dolphins Bay. On this tour, there is a chance to see dolphins and turtles! The underwater world is so fascinating, it will be difficult to leave. Upon return balance off the day at leisure. Day 4: Buggy Tour & Snorkeling
Stop At: Fernando de Noronha Marine National Park, Alameda do Boldro s/n, Fernando de Noronha, State of Pernambuco 53990-000 Brazil
After breakfast depart on a full day buggy tour around the island. You will experience a complete view of Fernando de Noronha island. Stop for snorkelling at Praia da Atalaia. The pool can only be visited at low tide, and the number of visitors is restricted. The tide pool contains a remarkable diversity of animals. Lobsters, octopuses and numerous fish species inhabit the pool and, if you are lucky, maybe a baby shark. At the end of the day, admire the most beautiful sunset. The moonrise is a very special moment in Noronha. You can watch it from the hills as it rises from the ocean. Overnight at Solar dos Ventos.

Day 5: More snorkeling
Stop At: Fernando de Noronha Marine National Park, Alameda do Boldro s/n, Fernando de Noronha, State of Pernambuco 53990-000 Brazil
After breakfast spend the day at leisure in this paradisiacal island. Snorkel at your own pace at Baia dos Porcos, Ponta das Caracas, Baía do Sueste or Atalaia, where large natural pools are created at low tide. At sunrise, the dolphins swim into the bays, resting or mating. The island is also home to one of the largest seabird breeding colonies in the South Atlantic. Watch another spectacular sunset from Boldro Beach. Pico, a small hill next to the beach, is the best elevated viewpoint for sundowners. It’s easily accessible so you can go either walk or go there with a buggy. Enjoy the beautiful views. Overnight at Solar dos Ventos.

Day 6: Scuba diving

After breakfast, head out for a day under the water. Scuba diving for certified divers and novices are available, with two dives in different points of the island, departing at 7:15 am or 1:45 pm (except on Sundays) including all the necessary gear and equipment. The currents coming from Africa make the waters around Fernando de Noronha very clear, with very good visibility even at 50 meters and great year-round warm temperatures. Noronha has more than two hundred species of fish, you can also see the large species such as manta rays, sharks, moray eels, goliath groupers, sea turtles and dolphins. Day 7: Surfing

Today is a day at leisure. You can practise some relaxation yoga sessions or go surfing. Depending on the time of year, Fernando de Noronha is excellent for surfing. If you’re on the island between December and April, head to Praia da Cacimba do Padre beach that is regarded as one of the best surf spots on the island, thanks to its clean waters and tube waves. Access to the beach is restricted between 8am and 8pm to protect the marine turtles during the hatching period, which is between December and June. You can rent the surfboards in several sports shops around the island. Overnight at Solar dos Ventos.

Day 8: Departure

Today is your departure day. After breakfast, the transfers to the airport will be organised according to your flight. Spend the rest of the day enjoying the relaxing moments on this beautiful island. Should you wish to continue discovering the other beaches of Pernambuco on the mainland, we recommend going south of Recife to Carneiros as well as to the beaches of the neighbouring state of Alagoas, such as Maragogi, Japaratinga, and São Miguel dos Milagres. There is also Porto de Galinhas, but it is usually very crowded, although the natural pools are very interesting and highly recommended.
