Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Angkor Wat, Sangkat Nokor Thum, Siem Reap Cambodia

DAY 1

– We will come and pick you up early in the morning at 4:30 am . We will then take the short journey out to Angkor Wat and watch the sun rises over the majestic temple structure. After the sunrise, we will explore Angkor Wat temple and I will explain the history and architecture to you.

Duration: 4 hours

Stop At: Ta Prohm, National Road #6 Angkor Archaeological Park, Siem Reap 17252 Cambodia

– After Angkor Wat, we’ll head over to Ta Prohm. This temple was built in the Bayon style in the late 12th and early 13th century. Ta Prohm was originally built as a Buddhist monastery and university. One of the unique features of Ta Prohm is that it has largely been left to the jungle and the trees are literally growing right through the middle of the temple. Ta Prohm is one of the most popular temples in Siem Reap as it was used as the location for the Tomb Raider movie featuring Angelina Jolie.

Stop At: Banteay Kdei, Angkor Archaelogical Park, Siem Reap 17000 Cambodia

– We will then head over to Prasat Banteay Kdei which means “A Citadel of Chambers” in English. This Buddhist temple was again built in the late 12th and early 13th century by King Jayavarman VII. This temple is always quiet because it is not the famous temple, very pleasant to walk through it after visiting 2 famous temples before returning back to hotel for refreshing.

Stop At: Angkor Thom, Angkor Wat, Siem Reap 17259 Cambodia

– In the afternoon is Angkor Thom, the ancient capital city of the Khmer Empire. Here we can see lots of things including the Royal Palace, the Terrace of the Elephants, the Terrace of the Leper King, Bayon temple, and more. Finally, we’ll head over to the South Gate of Angkor Thom to watch an take photos of sunset over the moat ( man made lake) from the a bridge flanked by 2 rows of 54 giant sandstone statues before taking you safely back to your hotel.

Stop At: Phnom Kulen National Park, Cambodia

DAY 2:
– This tour will start in the morning around 8am. We’ll start the drive out to the Kulen Mountain range. Along the way, you’ll see some stunning views, especially as we start to drive up the mountain. When we get to the top of Kulen Mountain, we’ll first go to see the sacred waterfalls. You can bathe in the water or sit back and relax while taking in the views of the beautiful waterfalls surrounded by the thick jungle. We’ll then head to see the reclining Buddha statue and you can see the small pagoda here. Finally, we’ll then go to see the River of Thousand LInga.

Stop At: War Museum Cambodia, Kaksekam Village Sra Nge Commune, Siem Reap Cambodia

– We’ll then travel back to Siem Reap where we will stop at the Siem Reap War Museum and the Killing Fields. Here, you can learn about the tragic history of Cambodia including the Khmer Rouge Regime and the civil war that followed.

Stop At: Wat Thmey (Killing Fields), Siem Reap Cambodia

– we’ll go to Wat Thmey Pagoda which is home to the killing fields of Siem Reap. Here, you can learn about the deadly Khmer Rouge regime under Pol Pot.
We’ll drive back to Siem Reap and go to visit Wat Thmey Pagoda. Here, you’ll see the Siem Reap killing fields. where you can learn about the brutal Khmer Rouge Regime
