Upon nearing the temple grounds, we head in northern direction for about 25 kilometres on a paved road to explore the pre-Angkorian Chenla capital of Prasat Sambor Prei Kuk for the visit, the complex of Isanapura is composed of 4 groups of temples. These are among the most ancient surviving examples of Khmer architecture. Enjoy a beautiful walk through the jungle with breath-taking views. It is certainly one the most beautiful examples of the Pre-Angkorian art of the 7th century (615 – 650AD). With more than hundred temples in a luxuriant vegetation, many are in ruins and some of them are sustains by roots of cheese monger as wood sculpting. Part of exploring the main ruins is done on foot over narrow paths, so bring some good walking shoes.
