Itinerary

Day 1: Vancouver to Kelowna

Pass By: Canada Place Building 780-999 Canada Pl, Vancouver, British Columbia V6C 3C1 Canada
6:45 am Meet your guide and coach at Canada Place
7:15 am: Depart from Canada Place. Travel through the beautiful Gulf Islands to Victoria, BC’s Capital.

Stop At: Othello Tunnels, Othello Road Coquihalla Canyon Provincial Park, Hope, British Columbia V0X 1L1 Canada
These tunnels were cut from the granite cliffs in 1914 by the Canadian Pacific Railway connecting the Kootenays to the Coast. A total of five tunnels were cut out as part of the Kettle Valley Railway grade.

Stop At: Kelowna, Kelowna, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia
Arrive in Kelowna, your overnight stop, where you’ll be able to walk the beautiful boardwalk along Lake Okanagan or through the cute shops that line the streets of this desert town. Later this afternoon you will be stopping at one of the region’s famous wineries for a complimentary tasting. Check into your hotel for the evening, a few blocks from the lakeside waterfront.

Day 2: Kelowna to Banff

Pass By: Rogers Pass, Rogers Pass, Glacier National Park of Canada, Kootenay Rockies, British Columbia
Make your way through the Selkirk Mountains to the Rockies.

Stop at one of the most known lakes in the Rockies.

Your accommodation will be in the Town of Banff for the next two nights, located in the heart of downtown Banff. You will have leisure time this evening to explore the town and indulge in one of the many dining opportunities that Banff offers.

Day 3: Banff

Stop At: Banff, Banff, Banff National Park, Alberta
Enjoy a tour of Banff. You will stop for a stunning photo opportunity at Bow Falls before heading to the magical spires of the Banff HooDoos. You will then circle around to the Banff Springs Hotel, a site with many tales of ghosts, including the mystery of room 873. You will then have the rest of the day to navigate your way around this quintessential Rockies town.

Day 4: Banff to Jasper

Stop At: Icefields Parkway, Banff National Park, Alberta Canada
You will travel further North West today as you make your way into the majestic Ice Fields after you enjoy breakfast in the hotel. First travel to the turquoise beauty of the Bow Lake and Athabasca Falls before driving the Columbia Icefields Parkway, where you will have the chance to glimpse hundreds of glaciers.

Day 5: Jasper to Prince George

Stop At: Maligne Lake Rd. 44 km southeast of Jasper, Jasper National Park, Alberta Canada
You will travel further North West today as you make your way into the majestic Ice Fields after you enjoy breakfast in the hotel. First travel to the turquoise beauty of the Bow Lake and Athabasca Falls before driving the Columbia Icefields Parkway, where you will have the chance to glimpse hundreds of glaciers.

Stop At: Maligne Canyon, Maligne Lake Road, Jasper, Jasper National Park, Alberta T0E 1E0 Canada
Afterwards visit Maligne Canyon, a geological wonder and must-see year-round.

Stop At: Mount Robson, Mount Robson, British Columbia
You will then stop at Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, topping out at an altitude of 3,954m. On a clear day, this is one of the more impressive sights of the tour. That being said, even if there is some cloud around, it makes that photograph all the more mysterious.

You will arrive in Prince George in the evening.

Day 6: Prince George to Prince Rupert

Stop At: Prince George, Prince George, British Columbia
You will depart on a beautifully scenic day of travel as we drive towards the Coastal Mountains. You will follow the Skeena River on your way to our next destination Prince Rupert. There are many stops along the way where you will be able to see beautiful sights of Northern British Columbia, including the town of Smithers for lunch (included); often referred to as a “skiers paradise’ in the winter.

Stop At: Prince Rupert, Prince Rupert, British Columbia
Arrive in the coastal town of Prince Rupert in the evening. Enjoy the stunning water views the restaurant and patio of your hotel are offering.

Day 7: Prince Rupert

Stop At: Prince Rupert, Prince Rupert, British Columbia
Prince Rupert is a quaint town that includes Cow’s Bay. Today you will have the opportunity to explore the town or partake in some optional activities. Prince Rupert is known as an amazing spot for whale watching and bear viewing
Other options today include the British Columbia Northern Museum. This evening there are several dining options in town that you can explore.

Day 8: Prince Rupert – Inside Passage Ferry – Port Hardy

Stop At: Prince Rupert, Prince Rupert, British Columbia
Today is an early start, and by early we mean very early as we will need to make our 7:30am departure time for the ferry.

The 16-hour ferry journey is definitely the highlight of this tour. You will be able to relax in the comfortable surroundings of the interior of the ferry. You will also be able to explore the outside deck. Be sure to bring a set of binoculars along as you will have an opportunity to see some amazing sights and some rare sightings of wildlife along the way through the Inside Passage.

Stop At: Port Hardy, Port Hardy, Vancouver Island, British Columbia
You will arrive in Port Hardy late this evening, and we will transfer you to the Kwailias Hotel, where you will be staying for the night.

Day 9: Port Hardy to Campbell River

Stop At: Alert Bay, Alert Bay, Cormorant Island, British Columbia
Located on the North Coast of Vancouver Island, you will board a local ferry as a foot passenger to Alert Bay. Alert Bay is located on Cormorant Island. Both Alert Bay and Cormorant Island were named after British warships.

Stop At: U’mista Cultural Centre, #1 Front Street, Alert Bay, British Columbia VON 1A0 Canada
Admission is included to the U’mista Cultural Centre. Here you will be to view ceremonial regalia, masks, rattles and much more that were confiscated in 1922 and returned to the museum almost 60 years later. You won’t have to walk far along the main street to see many works of art by local artists, including totem poles present along the waterfront and throughout the town. Stop for lunch before taking the ferry back to the Island.

Stop At: Telegraph Cove, Telegraph Cove, Vancouver Island, British Columbia
Travel onto Telegraph Cove, a quaint town that was once a fishing and cannery village. Stroll the boardwalk, grab a coffee and view the historical buildings of this small coastal village.

Stop At: Campbell River, Campbell River, Vancouver Island, British Columbia
Arrive in Campbell River and check into the Painter’s Lodge, located in a natural, tranquil setting on the water’s edge. Tonight, you may wish to add on an optional activity. These options include kayaking through a local estuary accompanied with an intimate, handmade pizza dinner. Or you can take a water taxi to Quadra Island for dinner on the water’s edge. Both of these activities carry an additional fee.

Day 10: Campbell River to Victoria

Stop At: Campbell River, Campbell River, Vancouver Island, British Columbia
Option to join your guide early morning on a walk through Millennium Trail or you can enjoy a bit of extra sleep and stay back at the resort. The trail is a two-kilometre round walk where you will be greeted by the Elk Falls and the Suspension Bridge.

Stop At: Victoria, Victoria, Victoria Capital Regional District, Vancouver Island, British Columbia
Next, we will make our way to the famous city of Victoria known for its Royal influence, stopping along the way in the cute seaside town of Comox where you can stroll through the town. Two of our favourites lunch stops are the Church Street Taphouse or Blackfin Pub with views of the water. Upon arriving in Victoria, you will have the option to stroll through the gorgeous Butchart Gardens. Originally a quarry over 100 years ago, it has been transformed into a modern masterpiece featuring a sunken garden or choose from several optional sightseeing choices around Victoria, including the Royal BC Museum, Robert Bateman Museum or shopping on Government Street. Check into your waterfront resort hotel overlooking the beautiful Inner Harbour. You will have the opportunity to have a free evening to relax at the hotel before the final leg of your journey tomorrow.

Day 11: Victoria to Vancouver

Stop At: Victoria, Victoria, Victoria Capital Regional District, Vancouver Island, British Columbia
Enjoy a fully guided tour this morning with your guide including Fan Tan Alley in Chinatown, Fisherman’s Wharf, Beacon Hill Park and Mile Zero.

Stop At: Gulf Islands National Park Reserve of Canada, 2220 Harbour Rd, Sidney, British Columbia V8L 2P6 Canada
You will travel through the beautiful Gulf Islands on your way to the beautiful city of Vancouver. Look out for whales as you cross the Strait of Georgia on the Ferry; sightings are not unheard of.
