From tail-to-snout (beginning to end) we prepare our traditional celebratory family meal together from scratch. Only you arrive with most of the work done for you.

All of the preparatory work is done and when you arrive everything is mise-en-place: chopped, peeled, diced, etc. as whole foods). You choose the seasonings and fresh herbs, tasting each dish along its trajectory to your taste and preferences. Since we do all of the cooking from scratch the meal is highly adaptable to seasonal produce availability and individual dietary needs.

There are no special skills required to participate. I started out at age 5 in my grandparent’s kitchen and have since done this experience with many inspiring people including children, persons of all abilities, professional bakers, and chefs alike.

Over the meal, we share frank tales of life in the Falls and discuss our family heritage tales of immigration, war & Iron Curtain while stuffing our faces elegantly with pierogi!

Easily adaptable to VEGETARIAN, VEGAN; or DAIRY, NUT, PORK diets without cost. Note: a small fee ($5 p/p) will apply for diets needing specialty ingredients like almond/rice flour for Keto, Atkins, gluten-free & similar.

Sample Menu

• Šiauliai Charcuterie Board – A selection of regional cheeses and Lithuanian party classics like kielbasa, preserved, and pickled goodies alike.
• Aukštelkai Eggs – Sharing in a tradition since time memorial – we begin the feast with time-honoured toasting over this classic game and snack.
• Pierogi – the stars of the show! – Using your customized filling(s) we make classic cheese/potato through fruit dessert dumplings and other international takes.
• Balandeliai Banylis (autumn cabbage rolls) – Another classic fine-tuned over the centuries. This one is our family favourite version of cabbage rolls.
• Roasted Creamy Mashed Potatoes – Our Roasted Creamy Mashed Potatoes, RCMP for short. If there is one ingredient you will find on many Eastern European plates, it is the humble potato.
• Squash or seasonal vegetable “au four” – Slow baked squash or seasonal vegetable medley
