Itinerary
We leave from Coyhaique heading west, passing the Carretera Austral along one of the most emblematic roads. After traveling 30 km, we will stop to visit the Río Simpson National Reserve.
Here, we can access the visitor center, where we can learn more about the flora and fauna of the sector. We will also take a walk that will take us on the banks of the Simpson River where we can enjoy its incomparable surroundings. In the background, we can also appreciate a hill called “Queque Inglés”, which adds beauty to this special panorama.
We will continue our trip to Puerto Aysén, where we will be received by specialized instructors, who will guide us to the Puente Colgante National Monument. Here we will have a talk about safety and handling of the kayaks.
We will begin our journey rowing the river to the La Herradura wetland, where we can observe the birdlife of the place, such as swans and other birds. We will have a little break where we can have coffee, mate and some snacks while we are surrounded by nature. After this break, we will return the equipment and start our journey back to Coyhaique.
