The tour begins with the departure of our selected hotels in San Pedro de Atacama, to make a short trip by car to the Catarpe Valley area.
Stop At: Valle de Catarpe, San Pedro de Atacama Chile
In the valley is the entrance to the Catarpe tunnel, where we will start our 2.5 hours trek. The tunnel was built in 1930 to transport cattle brought from the Argentina to the mining centers, being an important historical monument.

Stop At: Valle de Marte / Valle de la Muerte, Ch-23, San Pedro de Atacama Chile
We’ll head south, crossing the highest part of the Cordillera de la Sal, to reach the heart of Death Valley from where we will go down by huge sand dunes to finish the walk.
During the tour we will enjoy breathtaking 360 ° panoramic views of the desert and will have guaranteed fun, because it is an excellent opportunity to roll down from huge sand dunes.
