San Pedro de Atacama Trip Overview
Sandboarding is a sport that consists of descending sand dunes or hills with special snowboard-like boards. The most famous place in Chile to practice this sport is the Death Valley, located just 2 kilometers from San Pedro do Atacama. Let’s head from the center of San Pedro do Atacama to the Valley of Death. Once we have already selected our equipment (helmet, boots and board), we will climb to the top of the dune to receive an introduction class, in which they will teach us what are the best practices of this sport. After class we will start with the descents, which are accompanied by the spectacular landscapes of the Death Valley, with their strange rock formations surrounding the dune.
