What to Expect When Visiting Providencia, Región Metropolitana, Chile

Our sommelier guide will be waiting for you in the meeting point to start our journey towards Polvo Bar de Vinos, located in one of the most touristic and bohemian neighbourhoods of the capital. Polvo is one of the gems of Bellavista. Besides offering excellent cuisine, they stand out for their great selection of signature wines and local wines from small scale producers which are difficult to find anywhere else. We will enjoy a guided tasting where we will taste 3 varieties: país, orange wine and sémillon from Itata; all belonging to signature productions. Accompanied by homemade charcuterie and fresh pickles.

After enjoying Bellavista, we will go to another area of Providencia, the coolest neighbourhood of Santiago, to visit La Cava del Sommelier, a wine bar runned by one of the best chilean sommeliers. This bar has more than 300 labels and all of them are available, they are chosen very carefully following just one concept: that the owner likes them. That is why the selection is wide and varied – from Limarí to Itata valley – and goes from the classic to the exotic, very small projects, but also the good options of bigger vineyards. Here we will have a 3 tasting flight that will be accompanied by their best culinary repertoire, a cheese and deli board or steamed mussels or their shocking cannelloni filled with roasted pig and bechamel sauce. A heavenly delight!

To finalize our route we will go to El Golf, Santiago’s financial neighbourhood, emblematic for being home of the best hotels and restaurants of the capital. Here we will visit Les Dix Vins, a bar runned by a french couple who have been established in Chile for many years. They will receive us personally to delight us with their unique and exquisite variety of labels, chileans and french, an ideal mixture to compare qualities. We will accompany the tasting with the best selection of imported french cheeses, besides a variety of the finest cheeses of Colectivo Fermento, chilean cheese curators. Our expert guide will accompany you to Plaza Perú, where he will recommend the best places for you to continue with your tour enjoying Santiago at night.
