Itinerary

Make your way to the Monument of the People’s Heroes to begin your tour. There are many great sights to see in Tiananmen Square. Here are just a few. Highlight One: The collection of the National Museum of China numbers more than a million and features many precious and rare artefacts not to be found in museums anywhere else in China or the rest of the world. HIghlight Two: The highly unusual China Numismatic Museum is devoted to Chinese currency, from ancient times to present day. Highlight Three: The Great Hall of the People, the seat of government in China, was built in ten months in 1959 by brigades of volunteer workers. Highlight Four: The breathtaking Forbidden City is the heart of Beijing and a marvel of ancient China. This is just a taste of what you’ll experience on this tour but there are plenty more attractions to be seen and stories to be heard along the way. Your tour concludes at the Forbidden City. It is highly advisable to get to the square early.
