Different from a rush group tour, this private tour will fully take care of your interest and pace.
Itinerary
Day 1: Beijing Private Tour of Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City and Beiing Hutongs plus lunch
Stop At: North of Tian’anmen square, Dongcheng District, Beijing China
Your private guide and driver will meet you in the lobby of Beijing hotel and transfer you to Tiananmen Square. After a brief orientation of Tiananmen Square, the world’s largest city center square. Tiananmen literally means Gate of Heavenly Peace and after a stroll through the grand door, you arrive at the Tiananmen gate, the entrance to the Forbidden City. Here your guide will assist you to enter Forbidden City by scanning her/his ID card or your passports.

Your visit to the Forbidden City starts with a visit to the newly opened city wall at the north gate from where you can overlook the spectacular city. Your visit will also include not only all of the most visited buildings and chambers, but also a special visit to other private buildings such as the Treasury and the Instruments. Your guide will escort you slowly through this spectacular site explaining about its history and the different buildings you will see. The visit will last at least 3 hours.
Walking out of the Forbidden City, you will have a lunch at a local restaurant where you will be served Chinese dishes featured with Old Beijing flavor.

After your lunch you go to the Beijing Silk Store where you will have some insights about silk. And then,you continue to the famous Beijing Hutongs. The name Hutong comes from the Mongolian word for ‘well’ because historically people would build their homes close to or around a well. Nowadays Hutong means a lane way or alley. This is a fascinating area of Beijing with long lane ways of grey-tiled buildings and your visit will include walking through the narrow laneways where you can observe the different streets and alleyways and the local people going about their everyday lives. You will have an opportunity to pay a short visit to a local family and learn calligraphy writing from a householder.

Day 2: Beijing Private Tour of Summer Palace and Mutianyu Great Wall with Lunch
Stop At: Summer Palace (Yiheyuan), No.19 Xinjian Gongmen Road, Haidian District, Beijing 100080 China
Meet your private guide in the lobby of your Beijing hotel between 0800 – 0830am and transfer by air-conditioned car to Summer Palace. Construction of the Summer Palace commenced in 1750 as a park for members of the Royal Family to relax. Toward the end of the Qing Dynasty it became the main residence for the Royal Family members. A major reconstruction took place commencing in 1888 and it is rumored that the Empress Dowager Cixi took money that was to be used for rebuilding the Chinese navy and used it to rebuild the Summer Palace instead. Inside the vast parkland of the Summer Palace you can enjoy hills, lakes and thousands of man-made ancient structures in an area of almost 750 acres. One of the most popular parts of the Summer Palace is the Lake area that consists of Kunming Lake and Back Lake, with causeways, bridges, pavilions and the famous Marble Boat to be enjoyed(at your own cost).

Stop At: Mutianyu Great Wall, Mutianyu Village, Bohai Town, Huairou District, Beijing China
Walking out of Summer Palace, you will be driven to Mutianyu Great Wall. After approximately 1.5 hours you will arrive at the foot of Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. Before your amazing great wall tour, you will have a lunch at the foot of Mutianyu Great Wall.
After lunch, continue your trip to Mutianyu Great Wall. This section of the Great Wall predates the section at Badaling and was built to protect the capital and the imperial tombs located to the south. The Mutianyu section was rebuilt in 1569 and today it is the best preserved and most extensive section of the wall, with the greatest density of watch towers. A special feature of Mutianyu is the chair lift and gondola that will take people up to the ridges the wall runs along. After an introduction from your guide, you will have time to explore this section of the wall and to enjoy the surrounding forest scenery.
After admiring the wonderful scenery, you will be transferred back to your Beijing hotel where your tour ends.
To save your physical, you may go up to the mountain by cable car or cable chair(at your own cost). There are three options for your choice.
A . Round-way cable car will take you to No.14 watch tower where you continue your way to No. 23 watch tower. CNY120per person for round-way cable car.
B. Cable chair lift will take you to No. 6 watch tower where you can walk up to No. 23 tower if you want to challenge yourself. But if you plan to go down the moutain by gondola, you should walk back to No. 6 watch tower. CNY120per person for one way cable chair and one way gondola.
C.One way cable car and one way gondola. Take a cable car up to No.14 watch tower, walk down to No. 6 one and take gondola down to the mountain. CNY200per person.
Pls: Your guide may adjust the order of your tour on the travel of day considering the facts of traffic jam and hot temperature in Summer.
