Stop At: Potala Palace (Putuo Zongcheng Temple), North of Lion Ditch, Chengde 068450 China
Meet your guide at the lobby of your hotel in Beiijng city centre at around 6:00 am. You will drive about 3 hours to Chengde, where you will first visit the Little Potala Palace, officially called The Putuo Zongcheng.
This complex was modeled after the Potala Palace in Lhasa. First you will have a bird view from the nearby mountain first and then go into the palace to visit. It is a Qing dynasty era Buddhist temple complex built between 1767 and 1771 during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor (1735–1796).

After a local Chinese cuisine lunch, you will visit Puning Temple, known for a 78 feet (24 m) tall Buddha image of Guanyin. The statue is one of the famous large-scale wood-carved Buddha statues in China and has 42 hands.
In the late afternoon you will be transfer back to your hotel in Beijing and arrive around 08:00 pm depending on traffic conditions.
