The Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, which is an academic temple built by the 72 Chen clans for their juniors’ accommodation and preparation for the imperial examinations in 1894 in Qing Dynasty. Academy of Chen Clan is a complex with traditional Canton architecture style, and notable for the rich decoration which exist inside, outside the halls and in almost every beams, ridges, walls and columns including a large collection of wood carving, stone carving, brick carving, pottery, plaster and iron engraving.

After lunch, You will Transfer Qingping market which is Located at the cross interchange between Qingping Street and Tiyun Street along the Pearl River, Qingping Market in Guangzhou is a composite market selling agricultural complementary products as well as Chinese herbal medicines. Covering an area of 11,200 square meters (120,000 square feet) and possessing over 1,200 booths, it is a market of a large-scale and wide variety. More than 600 varieties of meat, eggs and vegetables, seafood, Chinese herbal medicines, dried fruits, flowers, birds and fishes, are sold. Government officials of over 40 countries including the United States, Britain, France, Germany, Japan and other countries used to visit it. They all considered the visit as a great pleasure! Here, you can buy a variety of agricultural sideline products, feel the warm local life and experience the civilized ancient trading ways.

Day 2: Guangzhou–Wuzhou(Guangxi Province). O/N Wuzhou.

After opened to outside world in 1897, Wuzhou had became the business center of Guangxi. The 1920s, the ancient buildings were knocked dowan and extended the street. So the original houses were replaced by arcades. There were continuous of Arcade Building in the ancient city which in the estern of the river. There are 560 buildings which are China and the West union on 22 Arcade Buildings Streets. Many business men got together here, and here was ever existing more than 1,500 shops.
According to the appearance of Wuzhou arcade buildings, you can see many representative Chinese building language, like Catherine Wheel, tile carving, memorial archway and so on. The second floor of arcade buildings in Wuzhou are built with an iron ring and water gate. It is the sign of wet city in Wuzhou.

Next, go to the Dragon Mother Temple was built in the Northern Song dynasty in memory of the dragon mother who was once a legendary woman chieftain of the Southern Yue nationalities in the Warring States Period. The dragon mother is said to have a moral integrity of helping all the people in need and thus highly respected and regarded as the mother of the descendants of the dragon (namely, Chinese). The temple was rebuilt in the Ming & Qing dynasties and repaired and enlarged in the 1980’s. It covers an area of 5000 square meters, including the following main buildings: the gateway, front & rear hall, temporary imperial hall, corridor, pavilion, stone tortoise pond, etc. The Dragon Mother Temple is a well-known historic scenic spot of the South-eastern area of Guangxi and attracts tens of thousands of tourists & devotees from home and abroad.

Day 3: Wuzhou–Hezhou–Yangshuo. O/N Yangshuo

With typical karst landform, the old town is skirted by splendid hills, towering trees and clean streams. It looks like a primitive and simple village with different kinds of pavilions, various temples, ancestral halls and even the old trees. Upon arrival, you will explore this serene town firstly by visiting the old folk houses. There are more than 300 old residences scattered along the narrow streets and each of them is constructed and decorated in the style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. As the ancient town offers a lot of local delicacies, your driver will be delighted to recommend some restaurants according to your preference. After the lunch break, continue our adventure to discover more hidden spots and sights in the old town, such as the Immortal Ancient Well, Dailong Bridge, An’le Temple, The Ancient Opera Stage, “Dragon Claw” Banyan etc.

Day 4: Yangshuo. O/N Yangshuo

In the morning, your driver will meet you at 9am and go to the Yangshuo countryside.

Then you will go along the Yulong River by bicycle or E-bike to immerse yourself in the local idyllic landscape for 2-3 hours. En route, you will see vast farmlands dotted with colorful wildflowers and log cabins, stretching out from the foot of rolling hills. There are sometimes peasants driving one or two oxen to plow the fields, injecting a sense of vitality into the rustic scenery.

After the lunch break, you will drive for an hour to the Xingping Dock for your motorized raft journey on the Li River. On the way we will pass by Fuli Town which is renowned for a traditional handicraft – painted fans. If you are interested, we can make a short stop there.

Upon arrival at Xingping Dock, you will board the motorized raft. Taking a ride on the Li River is always on the to-do list of Guilin Yangshuo day tour. Compared with ordinary ships, the raft – a traditional means of transportation usually sitting four people – offers a wider view and is the best way for visitors to enjoy the picturesque natural scenery. During the one-hour raft ride, you will see famous spots, including the Yellow Cloth Shoal which is painted on the CNY20 banknote, and Murals Hill where verdant plants portray images of nine horses on a sharp cliff.
Important Tips: People over age 70 and children less than 1 meter high are not allowed to take the Li River boat raft due to safety concerns.

There is a night show option in Yangshuo. It is the ‘Impression Sanjie Liu’, performed above and on the Li River and against verdant hills. The show begins at 20:00 and lasts for 70 minutes; ticket prices range from CNY 268 to CNY 368 depending on the seats. If you are interested, our guide will reserve tickets for you and escort you to the site after you finish your dinner.

Day 5: Yangshuo–Guilin. O/N Guilin.

In the morning, your guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel at around 09:00, and then escort you to the Yulong river, where you will start the Yangshuo Yulong bamboo boat tour.

Taking a bamboo raft ride on the Yulong River (or dragon river), a tributary of the Li River, is a very relaxing way to enjoy the highly scenic area south of Yangshuo. Here you can enjoy the stunning scenery and views of country life on a non-motorised raft in the traditional way with a gondolier who steers you over the breakwaters past many small mud-brick villages and farmlands. Once you’re on the bamboo raft, sitting and enjoying the peaceful countryside, the limestone mountains, the beauty of this experience opens out before you. Even if you have cycled the area with a few hidden stretches approaching the river, the view from the river is very different. The boat lasts for 50 minutes, one way boat ride.

After Yulong bamboo boat, you will drive to see the Yangshuo Xianggong hill.You will climb for 15 minutes along a moderately sloped staircase to reach the top of Xianggong Hill. Please inform our guide in advance if you need a walking stick. Lying between the famous Yellow Cloth Shoal and the Mural Hill, Xianggong Hill is one of the greatest viewing platforms in Guilin to take in the glamour of the Li River. The supreme view of the meandering Li River making a 180-degree bend, attracts countless visitors and photographers annually.

Day 6: Guilin–Longji Rice Terraces. O/N Ping’an or Dazhai village.

Your driver will meet your hotel lobby at 9am and first you will visit the Reed Flute Cave.
The Reed Flute Cave is a cave-based scenic spot located in the northwest suburb of Guilin, Guangxi, China, 7 km from the Guilin city center. It is about 240 meters (787ft) deep and 500 meters (1640ft) long. The cave has a great number of various exquisite stalagmites, stalactites, stone pillars and stone curtain, which have been forming since 180 million years ago. So it is also known as “the Palace of Natural Art”.

After a two-hour drive you will reach the entrance for the Longji Terraces and you will visit the Ping’an Village, This village has the most famous and beautiful rice terraces in Longji and need about a 30-minute drive again from the entrance tickets office.
The Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces is a splendid agricultural spectacle with a history of more than 650 years. The most eye-catching part of the terrace cluster is the Ping’an Village Rice Terrace, which was the earliest one discovered by tourists and photographers. Numerous narrow rice fields dug along the hill slopes form terraces connected by winding flagstone trails. There are viewing platforms for visitors to view the entire terrace fields built tier upon tier. While you are there you can also experience the minority Zhuang people’s traditional way of life. It is quite interesting to help them in the fields, try on their bright-colored ethnical costumes, and visit their unique stilted houses.

Upon arrival, Then you will take a moderate trek along steps to Ping’an Zhuang Village. The walk up takes about 40 minutes and you on a stroll around the village where you can glimpse the local Zhuang peoples’ unique wooden stilted houses and we can have a lunch in the village.
After a short lunch break, continue your terrace exploration to the No.2 Viewing Platform(Seven star with the moon), a 15-minute walk, which is a fantastic spot for a bird’s-eye view of the Longji Terraces beneath your feet. You will have enough time to take pictures and enjoy the fresh air at the platform. And then, we will head to No.1 Viewing Platform(Nine Dragons and five tigers) and need 30 minutes via the flat path.

Day 7: Longji Terraces–Sanjiang Chengyang Dong village. O/N Chengyang village.

Chengyang Dong Village features well-preserved residential houses and charming natural landscape. In the village, you will see the landmark constructions of Dong village, the Wind and Rain Bridge and the Drum Tower. Constructed with wood and bricks, the Wind and Rain Bridge blend the styles of bridge, corridor and kiosk into a whole, reflecting the unique Dong style and the wisdom of the Dong people. The bridge was built to provide a shelter for the people who works in fields, but later became a date place for the young people and a famous attraction to visitors at home and abroad. When you see the lofty pointed tower with upturned eaves, you will know that you come to a Dong Village. The Drum Tower is always located in the center of a village, acting as the political and cultural center. Every time when the chief of the village beats the drum on the top floor, villagers will stop their work and get together around the Drum Tower.

Day 8: Sanjiang–Zhaoxing(Guizhou province). O/N Zhaoxing.

Today, check out the hotel at Chengyang village and 2hrs drive to Zhaoxing Dong villagewhich is located in Liping County, southeast of Guizhou Province, is one of the largest Dong Villages in Qiandongnan area in Guizhou. Walking into Zhaoxing Dong Village, one will feel as though the clock is being turned back. All the buildings in the village are wooden-stilt houses. This is a picturesque village noted for the beautiful natural sights and unique ethnic flavor. It is surrounded by verdant mountains with a crystal stream running through.

You will take a shuttle bus from Zhaoxing village to Tang’an village and need 15 minutes and after visit, you can hiking down to Zhaoxing village or take a bus back.
The TangAn village is located about 6 km east of Zhaoxing, half way up Mount Longbao, about 840 meters above sea level. The village was first built in the Jiaqin years of Qing Dynasty (A.D 1795-1820). It is now home to over 170 households and more than 800 people. The Dong people live together in clans, and the two main clans being the Ying and Lu. They live scattered between the Banbo and Jiding ranges.

Day 9: Zhaoxing–Congjiang–Kaili. O/N Kaili.

Today, you will check out the Zhaoxing hotel, you will go to the Basha Miao village, this village is one hour driving away from Zhaoxing village.
Basha is a very special and old Miao Ethnic village and is virtually untouched in any way by modernization. Basha residents still live in their wooden houses, practice centuries-old customs and have their own unique beliefs. The village is perched on a hill, 5 kilometers from Congjiang. Legends say that Basha’s ancestors immigrated from heartland China to this isolated mountainous region over 2,000 years ago.

After that, you will transfer to Yintan Dong village in Congjiang. This village was similar village as Xiaohuang village.
The Yintan Dong village, about twenty kilometers away from Congjiang, is one of the most representative Dong villages in Guizhou for its Dong buildings and daily life of this minority. Although the houses are fairly recent (50-100 years ago ), the rules for the Dong buildings have been met. Taking a good look at the natural environment of the village, the houses, the drum towers, the pavilions, they are competely different from the ones in West! The drum tower of the village soars to 21 feet high in the center of the village. Wherever one is, one can not miss the center f Yintan. Travelers have the feeling of being immersed in time amidst extremely well preserved buildings.

The Shiqiao Miao Village located about 2.5 km southeast of Danzhai County, The Miao Ethnic there still lives a self-sufficient living style. The village is renowned for its traditional paper-making. It is a nice place for travelers, especially for calligraphers to experience and learn the traditional paper-making.
Currently, Shiqiao Miao village has over 300 households with a total population of more than 1300. There are about 60 households are engaged in paper-making. There is no denying that most Miao people there are good at paper-making.

Day 10: Kaili–Zhenyuan. O/N Zhenyuan.
Stop At: Miao Village, Nanhuamiao Village, Sankeshu Town, Kaili 556008 China
Before drive to Zhenyuan, you will visit the Lanhua and Jidao and Langde Miao villages due to those villages just nearby the Kaili and need one hour driving from the Kaili city center.
The Langde village is 30 km away from Kaili. Surrounded by green mountains,Langde Village is situated beside a crystal-clear stream. You have to drink “block-the-way” wine when you arrive (a local custom for welcoming the guests). Twelve tables are placed in the middle of the path from the highroad to the gate of the village. Then visit the traditional Miao-style stilt houses enjoy sweet Miao folk songs. After that,you could have a free walk on the roads and courtyards in the village paved with cobbles or bluestone.

The Zhenyuan town has more than 160 scenic spots including the ancient streets, the caves, temples, pavilions, rivers, bridges with gorgeous natural landscape. Situated between mountains and waters, Zhenyuan is the oldest city of Guizhou with different customs of ethnic minority compared to that of Xijiang. It is extraordinarily quiet compared with many other ancient towns. The town is divided into two parts by the Wuyang River: south ‘Wei City’ and north ‘Fu City’, which forms a water town. Hence it is well-reputed as the ‘Oriental Venice’. Spend some leisure time to explore in the old town is also a pleasant thing.

Day 11: Zhenyuan–Guiyang. O/N Guiyang.

This morning, you can visit the Qinglong cave before head to Guiyang, but is the optional , you can go inside(need to pay the ticket) or just take a photo from outside of the temple.
The Qinglong Cave or Black Dragon Cave is a group of Buddhist and Taoist temples along the Wuyang River. These temples, half built and half caved into the cliff, represent a unique architectural masterpiece in the region. There is nothing like the view from the other side of the river, as it is very impressive. Once indoors, however, the detail of the buildings and the beauty of the statues are equally as interesting.

The Huangguoshu Waterfall, a milky way in miniature, is the largest waterfall in Asia. Seventy-four meters (243 feet) high and eighty-one meters (266 feet) wide, it is a scenic marvel. Do not miss it if you are in Guizhou Province.
There are mainly three National Parks in this waterfall national park: Waterfalls Cluster, Water-Curtain Cave and Rhinoceros Pool (Xi Niu Tan).
You first the Waterfall-Viewing Pavilion (Guan Pu Ting), where you could see the panorama of the whole waterfall. Then, seen from Water-Viewing Pavilion (Wang shui Ting), you could view the grand scene of surging water. The third one is the Water-Viewing Pavilion (Wang shui Ting) beside the Rhinoceros Pool. The marvelous night scene of the grand waterfall creates lasting impressions.

Day 15: Kunming–Dali. O/N Dali.

Today, before drive to Dali, you will firstly visit the Western Hill which is a forest park, a beautiful place with fabulous views. You can overlook the Dian Lake on the Western Hill, and there are also wonderful temples. The most amazing part is the Dragon Gate on the top of Western Hill.

The scenic spot is located at the end of the whole scenic spot of Western Hill which is sitting next to Dian Lake – the largest freshwater in Yunnan and is famed as the “Pearl on the Plateau”. Standing on the Dragon Gate, travelers can overlook the panoramic view of Dian Lake, which is magnificent and gorgeous and attracts many people to Western Hill. There is an old saying about the Dragon Gate – once enter into the dragon gate, you will become famous and successful, and it’s a symbol of good luck.

You can spend a few hours leisurely wandering the paved streets, admiring the traditional architecture of the Bai ethnic minority, trying their local food and snacks, and buying some souvenirs.

Then, you will visit the Xizhou, aside from Dali, is another great place to observe the typical Bai Minority folk culture and architecture. A characteristic Bai courtyard residence consists of rooms on three sides and a decorative screen wall on the south direction. These residence generally have carved beams, turned up eaves, with the splendid of their green, gold, blue and white paint.
Xizhou is a very quiet and still uncrowded town. It has the advantage of preserving itself from mass tourism and one can observe a real local life, especially around the main square where families meet, where children like to play until after dark. Sit in a restaurant or cafe around the square, enjoy some fresh local beer, and watch the life around you.

Next, go to Three pagodas which is facing the Erhai Lake in the front, the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple of Dali constitutes a situation of tripartite confrontation with a large pagoda and two small ones. As one of the oldest and most magnificent architectures standing gracefully and forcefully in South China, it is a famed place of interest, a symbol of ancient history and culture of Yunnan Province. Built amid previous Chongsheng Temple by Nanzhao Kingdom, a local regime of Tang Dynasty (618-907), the three pagodas was named after the temple. Though the temple was damaged in Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), the three pagodas were reserved after numerous natural disasters and manmade incidents. The Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple was designated as an important heritage site protected under the state in 1961 and inscribed as AAAAA grade scenic area in 2011.

Day 17: Shaxi–Lijiang. O/N Lijiang.
Stop At: Yunnan Shaxi Ancient Town, Southwest of Jianchuan County, Dali China
Your driver will pick you up at the lobby of your hotel at around 09:00 in the morning. You will be escorted to the well-known Lijiang Jade Dragon Mountain in around 120 minutes ride, 100km.

Today, you may visit the Snow Mountain with the cale car to Spruce Meado first or visit White Water River first, But it really depends of the Impression Lijiang Show, because the show time will depend on daily number of visitors from 11:00am–15:00pm and the show lasts for 60 minutes.
