Stop At: Elephant Trunk Hill (Xiangbishan), Within Xiangbishan Park, Xiangshan District, Guilin 541004 China
Elephant Trunk Hill (literally, “Elephant Nose Mountain”), is a natural karst rock formation situated along the junction of the Peach Blossom River and Li River in downtown Guilin. This park is considered emblematic of the city and is one of the first attractions that many travelers visit when exploring Guilin. If you are not good at walking, Elephant Trunk Hill may be the best for you. It’s the lowest with a riverside park around it where you can appreciate the views.

Stop At: Solitary Beauty Peak, No.1 Wangcheng, Guilin China
A peaceful, leafty retreat from the city centre, the entrance fee for this famous pinnacle includes admission to a 14th-century Ming prince’s mansion, now home to Guangxi Normal University. The 152m peak is a steep climb, but affords fantastic views of Guilin and its river.

Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger described the cave as “poetic”. The huge Reed Flute Cave is a garish but nonetheless impressive grotto housing multicoloured lighting and fantastic stalactites and stalagmites. The entrance was once distinguished by clumps of reeds used to fashion musical instruments.
