What to Expect When Visiting Xi’an, Shaanxi, China

Stop At: Xi’an City Wall (Chengqiang), Zhongxin District, Xi’an 710001 China

Local guide will meet and greet you at your centrally located downtown hotel lobby at 9:00 am, take public transportation like taxi, bus or subway to the City Wall (transportation fee is at your own expense). Here your walking tour starts.

Climb onto the ancient City Wall – the most complete city wall to survive in the country, as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. You can walk along to enjoy the beautiful scenery or try biking on the wall to have an enjoyable experience (Bicycle rental fee is at your own expense).

Stop At: Xi’an Bell Tower, Lianhu District Junction of East main street, west main street, south main street and north main street,, Xi’an 710000 China

Then walk for around 15 minutes to the Bell Tower which marks the geographical center of the ancient capital, step onto the wooden tower to view the city and learn its history. Continue to visit the Drum Tower and get to know so called ‘morning bell and dark drum’.

Stop At: Gao Grand Courtyard, No.144 Beiyuan men, Lianhu District, Xi’an 710003 China

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and have a short break. Continue to explore the Gao’s Grand Courtyard on Muslim Street, this is the former residence of an official of the Ming Dynasty and one of the best-persevered traditional residences in Xi’an.

Stop At: Muslim Quarter, West of Bell Drum Towers Square , Beilin District, Xi’an 710000 China

Stroll around the ancient building and busy Muslim Street, walk to visit the City God Temple with a history of more than 600 years. By exploring all these ancient sites build in Ming Dynasty, you will surely have a memorable experience and better understanding of Ming History.

Afterwards, say goodbye to your friendly tour guide at Bell Tower area, you may return to the hotel or continue other activities by yourself.
