Stop At: The Bund, The Bund, Shanghai

Your tour guide will meet you at your hotel at 09:00 a.m.. Then, we will move to the Bund and start the Shanghai private tour.
The Bund is a famous waterfront on the west bank of Huangpu River and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai. Here, the charm of Shanghai as a bustling metropolis combining the century-old history and flourishing future is fully presented, making the Bund Shanghai a must-see attraction. We will see the 26 various buildings of different architectural styles at the Bund. Such as Peace Hotel(Heping Fandian), Shanghai Customs House and Shanghai Pudong Development Bank. You will appreciate skyscrapers across the Huangpu River.

Waibaidu Bridge is always a romantic place for lovers. As a shooting place for many TV series and films, it has a special appeal for those who have an old-Shanghai complex.
Waibaidu Bridge is one of the landmarks of the old city of Shanghai, spanning the Suzhou Creek, and at the confluence of this creek with the Huangpu River. It is the earliest and largest steel bridge in the city, stretching from north to south.

Then, you will transfer to Shanghai Old City and visit Yu Garden.

Shanghai Old Street is an old business street that has a combination of tourist attractions, shops, entertainment and cultural exhibits. It owes its special social attractions and rich commercial background to the fact that the earliest bank, gold shop, jeweler’s store, wine shop and tea house of the city were all to be found here. Visiting the old alleys of Shanghai is a great way to discover the traditional culture of this city and experience the real life of the Shanghainese.

Later, you will be shown around Yu Garden which was first built in 1559 during the Ming Dynasty by Pan Yunduan as a comfort for his father, the minister Pan En, in his old age. Pan Yunduan began the project after failing one of the imperial exams, but his appointment as governor of Sichuan postponed construction for nearly twenty years until 1577.
Yu Garden is small in size, but it contains all elements that a classical Chinese garden should have. The pavilions, halls, rockeries, ponds and cloisters all have unique characteristics. The garden has six areas, each with its own style.

The tour will start by the crossing of Tibet Road and Fangbang Road, in one of Shanghai’s many antique neighborhoods, also known as the cricket market. Its full of flowers, bonsai, birds, fish insects and crowds of people searching for whatever their hearts desire. It is a good place to experience part of a local’s life kind of life.

At noon, you will head to a local home at Caoyang New Village to learn how to cook Chinese Food and make Shanghai Wonton.

Caoyang New Village is a local renowned community in Shanghai, which welcomes foreign friends to experience local Shanghainese’s life. In their community center, you can see local people’s cultural life like write calligraphy, play ping pong, local handicraft etc. It is like a window for foreigner to have a further understanding about Shanghaier’s daily life. We will visit a local resident home and talk with them with the help of a guide to know about people’s life. The master will teach us how to cook Chinese Food and make Shanghai Wonton, then enjoy your creations and visit Caoyang New Village.

Then, We will move to People’s Square and visit Shanghai Museum to learn about profound history and culture of Shanghai.

Shanghai People’s Square is located at the very center of Shanghai and is the demarcation point of East Nanjing Road and West Nanjing Road. It is a flourishing place for people to look around.
Before 1949, the area of Shanghai People’s Square and the People’s Park was used as a famous horse racetrack which was built in 1861, honored as the ‘No.1 Racetrack in Far East’. Visitors still can find the ruins for the former main building standing at the northeast part of the People’s Square.
We will see many scenic spots around people’s square, such as the new Municipal Government Mansion, Shanghai Museum, Shanghai Grand Theater, Shanghai History Museum and the Urban Planning Exhibition Hall.

Stop At: Shanghai Museum (Shanghai Bowuguan), No.201 Renmin Avenue, Shanghai China

Located in the center of Shanghai in People’s Square, Shanghai Museum is a large museum of ancient Chinese art. Its style and presentation surround visitors with artifacts demonstrating ancient wisdom and philosophy. The exterior design of the round dome and the square base symbolizes the ancient idea of a round heaven and a square land.
The museum is divided into eleven galleries and three exhibition halls. The eleven galleries cover most of the major categories of Chinese art: Ancient Bronze, Ancient Ceramics, Paintings, Calligraphy, Ancient Sculpture, Ancient Jade, Coins, Ming and Qing Furniture, Seals, and Minority Nationalities.

Then, we will transfer to Pudong to see Shanghai’s financial district and visit the Shanghai Tower.

As a new and bustling district, Pudong offers visitors some of the most modern attractions, businesses, skyscrapers and shopping malls, all featuring the latest in entertainment, technology and fashion.
We will walk along Lujiazui Ring Bridge where is good place to photograph skyscrapers.

Stop At: Shanghai Tower, No479 Lujiazui Ring Road, Pudong New Area, Shanghai China

The new landmark of Shanghai, the tallest building in Shanghai with a total height of 632 meters. The 118th floor of the tower has a indoor observation deck which is the world’s highest indoor observation deck and called the ‘Top of Shanghai Observatory’. Tourists are recommended to visit the exhibition hall on floor B1 first, and then take the express elevator to the 118th floor directly within only 55 seconds, its speed can reach 18 meters per second. Here, you have a bird’s-eye view of Shanghai. You will have time to stop and admire the scenery on both sides of the Huangpu River on the 119th floor. If the weather is nice enough, we will have a chance to see a spectacular sunset.

Afterwards, return back to your hotel. Wrap your memories and say good-bye in your hotel.
