Stop At: Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, No.100 Renmin Main Street, Huangpu District, Shanghai 200003 China
Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall was built to show the achievement of the city planning and construction. The main body of the building covers Shanghai’s development from ancient times to the present and beyond. There is a city model made in a scale of 1/500, total 600 square meters, the largest in the world.
Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall will be closed for adjustment from December 1st 2019. The reopening date will be announced. We may visit Shanghai Museum instead.

Stop At: The Bund (Wai Tan), Zhongshan East 1st Road, Shanghai China
The Bund is a famous waterfront on the west bank of Huangpu River and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai. Here, the charm of Shanghai as a bustling metropolis combining the century-old history and flourishing future is fully presented, making the Bund Shanghai a must-see attraction. We will see the 26 various buildings of different architectural styles at the Bund. Such as Peace Hotel, Shanghai Customs House and Shanghai Pudong Development Bank.

We will visit the Buildings No.12. It is formerly the HSBC Building and the People’s Government of the Municipality of Shanghai Building. Currently it houses the Shanghai Pudong Development Bank. It was built in the style of neoclassicism in China.

Waibaidu Bridge is one of the landmarks of the old city of Shanghai, spanning the Suzhou Creek, and at the confluence of this creek with the Huangpu River. It is the earliest and largest steel bridge in the city, stretching from north to south.

Nanjing Road is considered to be the ‘No. 1 commercial street in China’, which has been a landmark for this city for a long time. Along its 5.5 kilometers, you will find over 600 shops that on average are visited by some 1.7 million people each day. Here, you could purchase everything wanted, spanning from special and cheap souvenirs to the luxurious world famous brands.

It is a great place to learn the history and unique beauty of the city and to escape from the bustling city for a while.

Xintiandi is a tourist attraction that preserves the historical and cultural features of Shanghai and integrates Chinese and western culture. Xintiandi is divided into northern and southern parts. The south is dominated by modern architecture. The north is dominated by Shikumen old buildings. Composed of Shikumen and modern architectural style, now it has become a hot and fashionable pedestrian street in the center of the city. Actually, it stands for the popular and leisurely life style of this city’s new generation. The outdoor cafés, bars and romantic restaurants can be seen everywhere.

It is an old shikumen house built in the 1920s that has been preserved and renovated. The museum was built according to the model of one household in the 1920s. There are seven main exhibition rooms, namely, the guest room, the study room, the old people’s room, the master room, the daughter room, the pavilion room and the oven room. The story of a shikumen family runs through the whole visit. It not only shows the unique shikumen architectural culture of Shanghai, but also reproduces the living space and lifestyle of Shanghai people in those days.
Nowadays, the museum is a good place for us to cherish the memory of old Shanghai and trace the historical memory.

As the only ancient town forming part of greater Shanghai, with a history spanning over one thousand years, Qibao ancient town is more than just a living fossil of ancient Chinese conurbation and urban planning. Qibao Town carries visitors back through the centuries by virtue of its history, culture, architecture and local people. The name originates from the Qibao Temple. A great variety of snacks in Qibao Ancient Town will attract your eye when you are walking the streets of the old town. We will taste Shanghai’s traditional snacks and experience the local lifestyle. At nightfall, we can enjoy charming night scenery.
