Itinerary
Day 1: Shangri-La
Stop At: Dukezong Ancient Town, South East Of Shangri-La Old Town, Shangri-La County 674999 China
Today our tour guide will pick you up in the airport and then we will visit Shangri-La which is called the “Eden in dream”. In Tibetan, Shangri-La means the “sun and moon in heart”. It’s an ideal home only can be found in heaven. In Shangri-la, lofty and continuous snowy mountains, endless grasslands, steep and grand gorges, azure lakes and the bucolic villages always leave a deep impression on visitors. On the first day in Shangri-La, you would better do not do strenuous exercise outside or rest in your room to get used to 3000 meters above altitude. Saving your energy, keeping your spirits and being fully prepared will be helpful for your rest of journey.

Day 2: Shangri-La
Stop At: Sumtsaling Monastery, Zhongdian, Shangri-La County 674400 China
9:00 am we are going to visit Songzanlin monastery, the most prosperous Tibetan Buddhism in Yunnan. Then, we drive to Nixi village and have your Lunch there, because there is a very special and tasty dishes called Black Pottery Chicken which is boiled in a pot made of black pottery with abundant materials. Then we walk through Naxi village, and learn to create a Black Pottery which has been produced expertly for 2000 years by villager of Nixi.

Stop At: Napa Hai Nature Reserve, Northwest of Shangri-La County, Shangri-La County 674400 China
Around Napahai lake in the afternoon, ride a horse or bike will be a good choice to relax yourself. Bath in the evening light is one of the most mysterious things in Shangri-La high land. Lake reflects the loftiness of mountain and the romance of cloud. It is also favored by Black-necked Crane, you are able to see them in the winter of Napahai wetland.

The night life in Shangri-La always colourful. When night falls, the Moonlight Square will become a massive dancing stage. there are many people follow the principal dancer in the square. The cheerful atmosphere may entice you to dance with them.

Day 3: A’bujicuo
Stop At: Dukezong Ancient Town, South East Of Shangri-La Old Town, Shangri-La County 674999 China
8:00 am we depart to discover a fairyland of Shangri-La—A’bujicuo. You will be brought to the place which is closest to A’jiagang God Mountain to start your hiking. 700 meters climbing will take you 3 hours to climb up and 2 hours down. It starts from A’buji Pasture which is a 3500 meters highland to reach the A’bujicuo Lake at 4208 meters altitude. Various and colourful flowers, wide plants and mushrooms would surround you there. It is a land of various ethnic groups, landscapes, natural scenery and abundant creatures where people will be able to experience most aspects of our planet. After whole day hiking, our dinner is waiting us in a Tibetan family.
Finally we will be back to our hotel and having a tight sleep.

Day 4: Tiger leaping gorge
Stop At: Tiger Leaping Gorge (Hutiao Xia), 100 km NW of Lijiang Hutiaoxia Town, Shangri-La County 674402 China
In the morning, we are heading to Haba Snow Mountain from Shangri-la. Highland, Tibetan house, snow mountain, sharp valley, rushing river will show up on the way. Having lunch in a gorge side restaurant when we pass by Tiger Leaping Gorge. The reason why the gorge named Tiger Leaping is that an ancient legend says that a tiger used a rock as it stepping stone, so it could leap from one side of the gorge to another side. So that is how the place got its name. Here we have some suggestions for you. If you want to hike in Tiger Leaping Gorge, the route will be long and tough, we don’t suggest you bring many bags and heavy stuffs. bringing you camera and wear skid-proof shoes and raincoat will be perfect. Besides, 1-2 bottles of water are necessary during your hiking. Enjoy your beautiful day in there and explore the difficult route will make you feel excited.
In the afternoon, we will drive to Haba Snow Mountain directly and have a good rest for our next trip.

Day 5: Haba Snow Mountain
Stop At: Haba Snow Mountain, South-East of Xianggelila, Shangri-La County 674400 China
Haba Snow Mountain is a mountain which rises above the northwest side of Tiger Leaping Gorge in Yunnan. It is located at the opposite the higher Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and stands 3,500 meters above the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. It’s also known as the Jinsha River as well. After your breakfast, make sure you have prepared well, then we are ready to head to Haba. 5396 meters’ peak of Haba is prepared for professional climbing lovers. Our traget is reaching the Haba Base at 4050 meters altitude only. When we finish our climb activity, we will come back to Haba village to relax and have dinner.

Day 6: Shaxi Ancient Town
Stop At: Yunnan Shaxi Ancient Town, Southwest of Jianchuan County, Dali China
When we finish our breakfast at 9:00 am, we will drive to an old trading town—-Shaxi. Nowadays, Shaxi is the only surviving ancient town, which used to be an important and prosperous hub of trading along the ancient Tea Horse Road which refers to the international trade route with the caravan as the main means of transportation. The undeveloped Shaxi Ancient Town is a better place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the modern city and experience the quaint lives of local Bai People.

Day 7: Shaxi Shibao Mountain
Stop At: Shibao Mountain, Jianchuan County China
There are also grottoes which record history of a prosperous but short-lived kindom—-Nanzhao, in Shibao Mountain. Today, we are going to Shibao Mountain to discover those secrets, then we hike back to Shaxi Ancient Town.

Day 8: Dali

Today is the last day of our journey, our tour guide and driver will escort you to the airport for your home-bound flight and see you off.
