Day 1: SAN JOSÉ, COSTA RICA (20 MINUTES)

Welcome to San José, Costa Rica. Reception
and transfer to the hotel. Explore the capital city with
its theaters, museums, shopping centers or
just coffee while watching the day at

Day 2: SAN JOSÉ – TORTUGUERO (6 HOURS APPROX.) 116 KMS
Stop At: Tortuguero National Park, Tortuguero Costa Rica
Departure in the morning where you will cross the Braulio Carrillo National Park, which is the largest in the central region, until you reach the Guápiles area where you will enjoy a delicious typical breakfast. On the way, you will pass through banana plantations until you reach the jetty where you will board your boat. From here, the boat tour will continue crossing rivers and canals for approximately an hour and a half until arriving at the hotel for lunch time. In the afternoon, guided visit to the picturesque town of Tortuguero. Dinner included at the lodge.

Day 3: TORTUGUERO
Stop At: Tortuguero National Park, Tortuguero Costa Rica
Guided walk in the morning on the private trails of the lodge. Free time to enjoy the facilities before lunch. In the afternoon, boat tour through the canals of the Tortuguero National Park. Tortuguero National Park is one of the wild areas with the greatest biological biodiversity, famous for being the habitat of seven species of turtles, surrounded by tropical forests and exuberant flora. We also recommend the nocturnal turtle spawning excursion. Dinner included.

Day 4: TORTUGUERO – ARENAL VOLCANO (6 HOURS APPROX.) 174KMS
Stop At: Arenal Volcano National Park 21007 Costa Rica
Mid-morning departure through the canals to take ground transportation, after
disembark at the dock where a stop will be made again in the
Guápiles to have lunch. Then transfer to the Northern Plains, where the impressive and conical Arenal Volcano awaits you, one of the natural wonders of the country for its majesty. Along the way and until you reach La Fortuna town, you will be able to appreciate agricultural plantations, ornamental plants and cattle farms.

Day 5: ARENAL VOLCANO
Stop At: Arenal Volcano National Park, Arenal Volcano National Park, Province of Alajuela
Visit a peasant farm where organic crops are grown and use responsible and environmentally friendly practices. You will learn about the importance of preserving the typical Costa Rican culture and traditions and learn about the main crops that have strengthened the economy of Costa Rica. Then you will enjoy a typical Costa Rican lunch. Later, you will hike inside the Arenal Volcano National Park, where it will take you through the vegetation and changing terrain of the ancient lava rivers called las coladas.

Day 6: VOLCANO ARENAL – MONTEVERDE (3.5 HOURS APPROX.) 120KMS

Transfer to Monteverde, with an extension of rainy and cloud forests and a spectacular biodiversity. Monteverde is home to one of the rarest and most unique habitats on the planet and an astonishing variety of flora and fauna. During the journey, you will observe really beautiful landscapes and will cross some typical localities of the country.
Departure from the hotel before dark for a night walk. At this time, many species emerge and show a unique show in which only you, the darkness and the impressive forest will witness.

Day 7: GREEN MOUNT
Stop At: Monteverde, Monteverde, Province of Puntarenas
Adventure day where you will enjoy the forest at all its levels. Zipline tour where you will cross the canopy of the cloud forest suspended on cables using specialized mountaineering equipment. You will live a wonderful experience and sensations that are only comparable when flying through the forest.
Next, you will walk across the hanging bridges, where you can appreciate a wide variety of flora and fauna. Lunch in the park. Later, they will be able to appreciate the butterfly garden that houses more than 30 different species and a hummingbird garden with more than 14 species.

This morning you will begin your journey descending from the mountains towards the warm Central Pacific coast.
If your choice is Manuel Antonio, this park is the smallest of the national parks in Costa Rica but also one of the most visited for its beautiful beaches between mountains, forests and the wildlife in its natural habitat that it offers.
If Punta Leona is your choice, this is a fascinating place for nature and bird watching lovers who are exposed to Costa Rica’s rich biological diversity.

Day 9: MANUEL ANTONIO / PUNTA LEONA
