What to Expect When Visiting Dubrovnik, Dubrovačko-neretvanska županija, Croatia

Magnificant Defense System with walls and fortresses. You will see the Dubrovnik Republic Navy Arsenals, Lazarets (1st Quarantine in the World), Harbor Breakwater from 16th century, Fortresses of St Ivan, St, Salvator, St. Margarita, St. Stephen, St Peter, Bokar & Magnificent St. Lawrence Fort. We shall visit the only small suburban area on the coast since all other parts of the Town are on the cliff.
Next visit is to the beach under the St. Lawrence Fort and Noon’s Monastery next to the one of the even more ancient Quarantine spots around Dubrovnik.
Pass By: Lokrum Island, Dubrovnik 20 000 Croatia
Circumnavigation of Lokrum Island, it’s Landscape marks. You will see the Royal Fortress but in 1806 by the Napoleon Army and finished later on by Austro Hungarian Army. Benedictine Monastery from 11th century is visible from the boat as well it’s tall bell tower which was used as a signaling point to the another point on the shore we shall visit later. Island Lokrum has no sand beaches but it is still very popular sunbathing and swimming area. There is a part reserved for the nudists we shall pass by.
We shall pass small port of Lokrum with Maximilian of Habsburg gardener house so to see beautiful landscapes including the monument built in 1862 as a memory to sunken Austro Hungarian war ship when many crew members were drowned.
Than we shall cross over to cape St. Orsula, St. Jacob’s beach above which there is another Benedictine Monastery with it’s Bell Tower, passing 5* hotels coastline, lazaretto (World’s first quarantine, 16th century Breakwater, Dubrovnik republic Navy Arsenal.
