Opatija Trip Overview
First we plan to visit the lake Bled. It is the highlight of Slovenian tourism, a picturesque blue and green lake, surrounded with mountains with a castle on a cliff overlooking it and an island in the middle making it all whole.
First we visit the oldest Slovenian Castle from 1011 AD, with stunning views, interesting museum a printing press and the best cake in town.
Next we take the traditional Pletna boat to the island of Bled, climbing 99 stairs to the top where the church awaits us.
After we return from the island we continue to the Lake Bohinj, a lake completely different than Bled. planning to stop in Ribicev laz for some walk or pictures. If you wish I can even take you to the cable car which takes you to the top of Mt. Vogel (not included).
In the end, we return to Opatija. This is full day excursion and you will need your passport for entering Slovenia
