You think you’ve seen some beautiful places in Europe, but you haven’t seen anything like Plitvice and Krka National Parks, the twin peaks of Croatia’s sensational scenery. This trip is all about getting you up close to the emerald lakes, cascading waterfalls and winding hiking trails, where you’ll hike, bike, picnic and swim – with your jaw on the floor every step of the way.
Itinerary
Day 1: Split to Plitvice National Park
Stop At: Plitvice Lakes National Park, Plitvice Lakes National Park, Central Croatia
We will kick off our adventure by driving inland to one of the most spectacular National Parks in the world. En-route, we will enjoy the first of many delicious Croatian meals. Arriving at Plitvice, we’ll settle into our accommodation and have some time to chill out. Then it’s time to kick off the adventure with our very first hike. Make sure there’s some space on your camera roll: today we’ll take the stunning Plitvice Loop, through the Upper and Lower Lakes and past the magnificent Great Waterfall. Returning to our accommodation we’ll enjoy a well deserved included feast where we’ll taste fresh local produce. What a start, and there’s more to come.

• Dinner: Included Dinner featuring local produce prepared in the traditional way.
Accommodation included: Twin-share accommodation in Eco Huts located inside Plitvice National Park with shared bathrooms.
Day 2: Plitvice Valley and Barac Caves
Stop At: Josipa Jovica 19, Plitvice Lakes National Park 53230 Croatia
After breakfast this morning we’ll set off to explore the Plitvice Valley on two wheels with an included bike tour. We’ll head inside the ancient Barac Caves and discover their hidden treasures, including spectacular rock formations and artefacts dating back to the Neanderthals.

Stop At: Zip Line Pazinska Jama, Shime Kurelica 4, Pazin 52000 Croatia
OPTIONAL ACTIVITY- Whizz down Europe’s highest Zipline, 80 meters above the ground, flying 120 km/h for 2 km with magnificent scenery of Lika below you.

Stop At: Zeljava Air Base, Zeljava, Plitvicka Jezera, Plitvice Lakes National Park 53233 Croatia
OPTIONAL ACTIVITY- Once the largest airport and military air base in Yugoslavia, visit this military base built inside a mountain. Today the landscape is scattered with monuments, tower blocks, bunkers and tunnels.

OPTIONAL ACTIVITY- Cycling extension of Plitvice Valley. If you’re keen to see more on 2 wheels, opt to extend your cycling tour and check out some more of the magnificent natural beauty in the area.

Day 3: Plitvice National Park to Split via Krka National Park
Stop At: Skradin, Skradin, Sibenik-Knin County, Dalmatia
After breakfast today we say goodbye to Plitvice National Park and make our way South toward the town of Skradin. Here we will stop by the famous waterfall for a swim and lunch, before continuing on to the National Park.

Stop At: Krka National Park, Krka National Park, Sibenik-Knin County, Dalmatia
After lunch we’ll make our way into the otherworldly Krka National Park where we’ll hike amongst some of the most beautiful landscapes in Croatia. We hope you brought your trunks – taking a dip in the emerald waters surrounded by the thundering waterfalls is an unmissable way to beat the heat.

After some relaxing time in the park, we make the short drive to Split where our trip ends, but the scenery we’ve witnessed will live long in the memory.
