Welcome to Egypt and the start of your holiday!
Upon arrival at Cairo airport, our company representative will meet you at the exit gate of the airport holding an AZZA TOURS sign. Then you will be escorted to your hotel in Cairo by a private A/C vehicle for check-in. Our representative will help you through the hotel check-in process and go through your itinerary for the upcoming days.

Day 2: Cairo Attractions (Desert Tour)
Stop At: Memphis and Sakkara, Saqqara 12919 Egypt
After Breakfast, the tour guide will be waiting for you at the hotel lobby, and your private transportation will be waiting outside the hotel. Then, we will start your full-day tour starting with Sakkara and Memphis. The vast cemetery of ancient Memphis was a burial ground for over 3500 years. Covering a 7 km stretch high above the Nile Valley’s cultivation area, Egypt’s most significant archeological site. And Saqqara has 11 significant pyramids, which were the final resting places for the pharaohs of this period. There are also hundreds of smaller tombs for essential families, generals, and sacred animals. Saqqara was buried in sand until it was partially uncovered in the mid-19th century. Due to its sheer size, it has been in a constant state of rediscovery and restoration ever since.

Day 3: Aswan Nile Cruise

Welcome to Aswan and the start of a new stage of your trip. Enjoy the short ride from Aswan train station to your cruise for check-in. then continue your day by joining our Egyptologist tour guide who will pick you up from your cruise to escort you to visit Aswan main attraction.

Our Egyptologist tour guide will guide you through the felucca ride to the entrance of the Philae temple and explain the historical site in detail.
The ancient Egyptian name of the smaller island meant “boundary.” As their southern frontier, the pharaohs of Egypt kept there a strong garrison, and it was also a barracks for Greek and Roman soldiers in their turn.
The first religious building on Philae was likely a shrine built by Pharaoh Taharqa of the 25th Dynasty, which was probably dedicated to Amun. However, this structure is only known from a few blocks reused in later buildings, which Gerhard Haeny suspects may have been brought over for reuse from structures elsewhere.

The Aswan Dam, or specifically the Aswan High Dam,” since the 1960s,” t is the world’s largest embankment dam, which was built across the Nile in Aswan, Egypt, between 1960 and 1970. Its significance largely eclipsed the previous Aswan Low Dam initially completed in 1902 downstream. Based on the success of the Low Dam, then at its maximum utilization, construction of the High Dam became a key objective of the government following the Egyptian Revolution of 1952; with its ability to better control flooding, provide increased water storage for irrigation, and generate hydroelectricity, the dam was seen as pivotal to Egypt’s planned industrialization. Like the earlier implementation, the High Dam has had a significant effect on the economy and culture of Egypt.

Day 4: Aswan Nile Cruise & Kom-ombo Tour

After Breakfast, you will join an orientation Felucca around Kitchener and Elephantine Islands, then back to the Cruise.
Known to the ancient Egyptians as ꜣbw “Elephant,” the island of Elephantine stood at the border between Egypt and Nubia. It was an excellent defensive site for a city, and its location made it a natural cargo transfer point for river trade. This border is near the Tropic of Cancer, the most northerly latitude at which the sun can appear directly overhead at noon and from which it appears to reverse direction or “turn back” at the solstices.

Today the cruise will sail to Kom-Ombo to visit the dual temple of Sobek and Haroeris in Kom-Ombo after lunch. The cruise will park right on the front of the temple, where you will be able to walk to the entrance door.
The Temple of Kom Ombo is an unusual double temple in Kom Ombo in Aswan Governorate, Upper Egypt. It was constructed during the Ptolemaic dynasty, 180–47 BC. Later, the Romans made some additions to it during the Roman period.

Day 5: Edfu & Nile Cruise Sail to Luxor
Stop At: Temple of Horus, Adfo, Edfu Egypt
After breakfast, visit one of the most well-preserved temples in Egypt in Edfu – dedicated to Horus (the Falcon God). Your guide will take a horse carriage ride to the entrance of the temple.
Edfu was one of several temples built during the Ptolemaic Kingdom, including the Dendera Temple complex, Esna, the Temple of Kom Ombo, and Philae. Its size reflects the relative prosperity of the time. The present temple, which was begun “on 23 August 237 BC, initially consisted of a pillared hall, two transverse halls, and a bark sanctuary surrounded by chapels.

After the tour to Edfu temple, the Cruise will sail to “Luxor,” the ancient capital of Egypt. Our tour guide will meet you at the cruise lobby to start your tour to the east of the Nile river and see the second largest temple in the world (Karnak Temple). Also, you will have an A/C private vehicle for transfers during the tour period.
The complex is a vast open site, and It is believed to be the second most visited historical site in Egypt after the Great Pyramids of Kufo. It consists of four main parts, of which only the largest is currently open to the general public.
The key difference between Karnak and most of the other temples and sites in Egypt is the length of time it was developed and used. Construction of temples started in the Middle Kingdom and continued into Ptolemaic times. Approximately thirty pharaohs contributed to the buildings, enabling it to reach a size, complexity, and diversity not seen elsewhere.

The Luxor Temple is a large Ancient Egyptian temple complex located on the east bank of the Nile River in the city today known as Luxor (ancient Thebes). It was constructed approximately 1400 BCE. Among the Egyptians, the temple is known as “the southern sanctuary.”

Day 6: Luxor (West Bank Tour)
Stop At: Valley of the Kings, Luxor City, Luxor 85511 Egypt
After breakfast, we will leave the cruise and begin the tour to the West Bank of Luxor, starting with the valley of the kings.
The official name for the site in ancient times was The Great and Majestic Necropolis of the Millions of Years of the Pharaoh, Life, Strength, Health in The West of Thebes or Ta-Sekhet-ma’at (the Great Field).
At the start of the Eighteenth Dynasty, only kings were buried within the valley in large tombs. When a non-royal person was buried, it was in a small rock-cut chamber, close to the tomb of their master. Amenhotep III’s tomb was constructed in the Western Valley. While his son Akhenaten moved his tomb’s construction to Amarna, it is thought that the unfinished tomb “WV25” may have been initially intended for him. With the return to religious orthodoxy at the end of the Eighteenth Dynasty, Tutankhamun, Ay, and Horemheb returned to the royal necropolis

Following the tour of the Valley of the Kings our tour guide will company you to see the fabulous architecture of Hatshepsut temple.
Hatshepsut temple is a mortuary temple built during the reign of Pharaoh Hatshepsut of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt. Located opposite the city of Luxor, it is considered to be a masterpiece of ancient architecture. Its three massive terraces rise above the desert floor and into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. The temple’s twin functions are identified by its axes. On its central east-west axis, the temple served to receive the barque of Amun-Re at the climax of the Beautiful Festival of the Valley. On its north-south axis, it represented the life cycle of the pharaoh from coronation to rebirth. At the edge of the desert, 1 km (0.62 mi) east, connected by a causeway, lies the accompanying valley temple. Across the river Nile, the whole structure points towards the monumental Eighth Pylon, Hatshepsut’s most recognizable addition to the Temple of Karnak.

After finishing the tour of Hatshepsut temple, you will stop by the magnificent Colossi of Memnon.
The Colossi of Memnon are two massive stone statues of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III, who reigned in Egypt during the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt. Since 1350 BCE, they have stood in the Theban Necropolis, located west of the River Nile from the modern city of Luxor.
The twin statues depict Amenhotep III (fl. 14th century BCE) in a seated position, his hands resting on his knees and his gaze facing eastwards towards the Nile river. Two shorter figures are carved into the front throne alongside his legs: these are his wife Tiye and mother Mutemwiya. The side panels depict the Nile god Hapi.

Day 7: Cairo (City Tour)
Stop At: The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, Midan El Tahrir Geographical Society Building, Cairo 11511 Egypt
Our travel agent will transfer you from the train station upon arrival to the hotel in Cairo for check-in. The tour guide will be waiting for you at the hotel lobby, and your private transportation will be waiting outside the hotel. Then, you will begin your tour to the Egyptian Museum. The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, known commonly as the Egyptian Museum or the Cairo Museum, in Cairo, Egypt, is home to an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities. It has 120,000 items, with a representative amount on display and the remainder in storerooms. Built-in 1901 by the Italian construction company, Garozzo-Zaffarani, to a design by the French architect Marcel Dourgnon, the edifice is one of the largest museums in the region. As of March 2019, the museum was open to the public. In 2021, the museum is due to be superseded by the newer and larger Grand Egyptian Museum at Giza.

The Citadel of Cairo or Citadel of Saladin is a medieval Islamic-era fortification in Cairo, Egypt, built by Salah ad-Din (Saladin) and further developed by subsequent Egyptian rulers. It was the seat government in Egypt and the residence of its rulers for nearly 700 years, from the 13th to the 19th centuries. Its location on a promontory of the Mokattam hills near the center of Cairo commands a strategic position overlooking the city and dominating its skyline. At the time of its construction, it was among the most impressive and ambitious military fortification projects of its time. It is now a preserved historic site, including mosques and museums.

The Hanging Church is named for its location above a gatehouse of Babylon Fortress, the Roman fortress in Coptic Cairo (Old Cairo); its nave is suspended over a passage. The church is approached by twenty-nine steps; early travelers to Cairo dubbed it “the Staircase Church”.The land surface has risen by some six meters since the Roman period, so the Roman tower is mostly buried below ground, reducing the visual impact of the church’s elevated position.
