Located in the Citadel Square, it faces the Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Hassan which it rivals in size and grandeur. This Mosque is the resting place of many members of the Egyptian Royal Family, this building is divided into two parts; the first part is the praying house that distinguishes with its wonderful decorations, while the second is the royal cemetery that has the shrines of Khushiar Hanim, Khedive Ismail, Shah Iran, Ali Abu-Shebak, and Sheikh Yehia Al-Ansary.

Museum of Islamic Arts is the largest museum that exhibits collections of Islamic Art collections in the entire world. It holds about a hundred thousand objects that came from India, China, and North Africa to Andalusia. It also displays different and unique artifacts such as ceramics, textiles, lambs, and metal works. These collections are spanning from the beginning of Islam to the end of Muhammad Ali’s family.
