Stop At: Step Pyramid of Djoser, Saqqara Egypt

Saqqara: Your Egyptologist will pick you up in the morning to experience the impeccably rich history of Saqqara, which has been the largest and oldest cemetery in the world! Consisting of over 85,000 tombs including the latest discoveries in October 2020 of 59 fresh coffins.

You will be professionally guided through the finest tombs of the nobles, whose exquisitely rich walls depict the daily life of Ancient Egypt.

First, you will enjoy the scent of the past by wandering around the marvelous Step Pyramid of King Djoser, which was the very first freestanding stone structure in history! Imhotep, this structure’s renowned architect had honored his Pharaoh with such a magnificent tomb, whose pyramid features six steps resembling the Pharaoh’s ascension to heaven!

Stop At: Memphis and Sakkara, Saqqara 12919 Egypt

Memphis: Next, you will visit the ancient center of culture and authority, Memphis. It is where the craftsmen community required all the sculpted statues to honor the kings they represented. Memphis was home to the second largest Sphinx, and the giant legendary, King Ramses II’s statue.

Stop At: Pyramids of Dahshour, Giza Egypt

Dahshur: Then, you sink deep into the heart of the barren desert in Dahshur, gazing upon and admiring two of Egypt’s ever best-preserved early pyramids, which were built during the reign of King Sneferu (2,613-2,589 BC), the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid! These two monuments are yet considered to be an undisputed evidence of the architectural development preceding the proclaimed great pyramid.

The Bent Pyramid having the angle of its sides changed abruptly, hence getting its title, archeologists attribute this outstanding anomaly to an engineering crisis during construction. Where the Red Pyramid, on the other hand, was the first smooth-sided pyramid ever built!
