Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up, Philae Temple Visit and check in the Cruise

Stop At: Temple of Philae, Island of Agilika, Aswan Egypt
This day your private Egyptologist tour guide will pick you up, help you with the check in process on the cruise and visit Philae temple. This Egypt’s ancient center for the cult of Isis, the Temples of Philae were venerated from the Pharaonic era through the Greek, Roman, and Byzantine periods with each ruler making their own additions to the stones here. This sacred site has dazzled travelers since the first Nile cruises set off from Cairo and is one of Nubia’s most important monument sites.

Saved from a watery grave by UNESCO’s rescue project during the building of the Aswan High Dam, the temples were transferred block by block from their original place on Philae Island to Agilika Island

Day 2: Sailing, Visit both of Kom Ombo and Edfu Temples

Stop At: Temple of Kom Ombo, Nagoa Ash Shatb, Kom Ombo 81611 Egypt
Kom Ombo temple is standing on high grounds overlooking The Nile. It differs from other temples because of its double entrance, each one is dedicated to divinity: “Haroeris” with his falcon head and “Sobek” with his crocodile head. The Temple of Kom Ombo was built on the honor of two deities, the crocodile-headed Sobek.

Stop At: Crocodile Museum, Nagoa Ash Shatb Markaz Deraw, Kom Ombo 81611 Egypt
Head to the crocodile museum to see a few mummified crocodiles as they were mummified after death to have them worshiped.

Stop At: Temple of Horus, Adfo, Edfu Egypt
You will visit Edfu temple using a private horse and carriage, it’s dedicated to Horus which is considered by most to be the best preserved cult temple in Egypt. According to the Egyptian myths, it was the place where the falcon-headed god Horus fought his enemies to support god Ra Horakhty.

Day 3: Karnak and Luxor Temples (east bank of Luxor)

Stop At: Temple of Karnak, Karnak, Luxor Egypt
Your private guide and you will head to Karnak temple. The largest religious building ever constructed. It has a massive size and will really leave you shocked. Each statue and part of it has a story behind. Enjoy watching the massive hall of columns with a total number of 134 columns, it’s the largest one all over. Continue seeing the gigantic scarab beetle, big obelisks and the sacred lake of the temple. Our guide will ensure that you know the story and the history of the place then leave you to enjoy the place in peace and take pictures.

Stop At: Luxor Temple, Luxor 23512 Egypt
In front of the temple is the beginning of the Avenue of Sphinxes that ran all the way to the temples at Karnak 3km to the north, and is now almost entirely excavated. The outer part of this temple was built by Ramses the second while the inner part was done by Amenophis III. Alexander the great as well added his own touch and reconstructed the altar and put deceptions of him on the walls of this temple.

Day 4: Check out of the cruise and visit Valley of the Kings Hatshepsut’s Temple and Memnon Statues

Stop At: Valley of the Kings, Luxor City, Luxor 85511 Egypt
This day your private Egyptologist will take you to discover the West bank of Luxor. Start your day visiting Valley of the Kings, take an excursion to the royal cemetery for 65 Pharaohs. You will get a full explanation of the place, why it was picked to be the royal cemetery and get an explanation of what you will be seeing inside the tombs. It is the place where the famous king TutAnkhAmun was burried and found with all of his treasures!

Hatshepsut’s temple is one of the world’s most striking architectural masterpieces, but perhaps even more noteworthy is the woman who commissioned it. She was the first woman ever to rule Egypt. But how was she able to do so? How come no one dared to refuse her or strike against? Well this is our story that we will tell once we get there.

Stop At: Colossi of Memnon, Thebes, Luxor Egypt
Before finishing your west bank tour you will stop by the Colossi of Memnon, the 2 singing statues. Sadly, they stopped singing! How did solid statues sing or make a sound? And why did they stop? Our endless interesting stories about Egypt and the sites you will visit will keep impressing you.
