Day 1: Aswan : the Temple of Philae – the High Dam

Pass By: Luxor Travels, 3 Al Qarna Rd 3, Al Qarna Rd, Luxor 85951 Egypt
This Nile cruise features a swimming pool with a sun-lounger terrace, opulent lounge and bar, reading areas and a discotheque. The luxurious cabins with panoramic views have en-suite shower room, individually controlled air-conditioning, TV, minibar, climate control and telephones. The restaurant offers a mix of local and international buffet-style cuisine. Guests can enjoy their drinks while soaking up the sun by the pool bar. Room service is available 24 hours.

(L, D) Upon arrival at Aswan Airport you will be transferred to your cruise ship for a 3 night Nile cruise. After check-in, you begin a guided day tour to the Temple of Philae, which was built in honor of goddess Isis. After this visit you will go to the High Dam, an engineering miracle used as an embankment dam situated across the Nile River, built in the 1960’s to protect Egypt from annual floods. You will be transferred back to the cruise ship for lunch, where you can enjoy cruise activities and dinner in the evening. You spend the night on board in Aswan.

Stop At: Temple of Philae, Island of Agilika, Aswan Egypt
the Temple of Philae, which was built in honour of goddess Isis. After this visit you will go to the High Dam, an engineering miracle used as an embankment dam situated across the Nile River, built in the 1960’s to protect Egypt from annual floods.
You will be transferred back to the cruise ship for lunch, where you can also enjoy cruise activities and dinner in the evening. Spend the night on board in Aswan.

you will go to the High Dam, an engineering miracle used as an embankment dam situated across the Nile River, built in the 1960’s to protect Egypt from annual floods.

Day 2: Aswan : Abu Simbel Temple – Temple of Kom Ombo – Temple of Horus

Pass By: Aswan, Aswan, Aswan Governorate, Nile River Valley
(B, L, D) Early in the morning you have the option of visiting Abu Simbel Temple (at an additional cost). Today the ship sails to Kom Ombo and Edfu. In Kom Ombo you visit the Temple of Sobek, dedicated to the crocodile god. After this visit you have lunch on board as the ship sails toward Edfu. There, you will be taken to see the Temple of Horus, dedicated to the falcon-headed god. This relatively young pharaonic temple is well-preserved and therefore very impressive. In the evening you have dinner on board and spend the night.

Stop At: Abu Simbel Temple Complex, Abu Simbel, Abu Simbel Egypt

It is an archaeological site located in the belly of the mountain, south of Aswan
made up of two large temples carved into the rock. It was built by King Ramses II in 1250 BC These two temples were among the greatest temples in ancient Egypt. They are usually called the “Great Temple of Abu Simbel” and the “Little Temple of Abu Simbel,” both of which are more spacious and grandiose than all the Egyptian rock temples of all times. There are six statues at the entrance to the other temple, four of them of Ramses II and two of his wife Nefertari.

In Kom Ombo you will visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, which is dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek.

Edfu to visit the Temple of Edfu which is dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god. This is quite a young temple and is well-preserved making it very impressive.

Day 3: Luxor Esna

Pass By: Luxor, Luxor, Nile River Valley
(B, L, D) As the ship sails on toward Luxor, you pass the city of Esna. Today you can just enjoy the view relaxing on the sundeck while watching the local life on the river and its banks. After arrival in Luxor you have the option of seeing the Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temples in the evening. You spend your last night on board in Luxor.

Day 4: Luxor

Pass By: Luxor, Luxor, Nile River Valley
(B) After breakfast on board, you check out at 8 am to start your day tour of the West Bank of Luxor. First you will be transported to the Necropolis of Thebes, the Valley of the Kings on the West Bank of Luxor. This ancient necropolis is a must-see for Luxor travelers. It consists of tombs embedded in the mountain Thebes. Here you visit 3 tombs of various dynasties. Your Egyptologist tour guide will be on hand to recommend and advise you as to which tombs to visit. After visiting the tombs you will be transported to the Temple of Ramses III (Medinet Habu). Afterwards, you will be taken to see the Colossi of Memnon, the two largest ancient statues in Egypt. To conclude your Nile cruise, you visit Karnak Temples on the East Bank. Karnak beats every other pharaonic monument: it is simply one of the most beautiful ancient monuments in Egypt. At every site you will get information from your Egyptologist tour guide and you will get free time to explore the ancient monuments by yourself.

Stop At: Tomb of Ramses III, Valley of the Kings West Bank, Luxor Egypt
The tomb of Ramesses III, designated as KV 11, is a complex system in the Valley of the Kings. It has been known since antiquity,the wonderful decorations include colourful painted sunken reliefs featuring the traditional ritual texts (Litany of Ra, Book of Gates etc) and Ramses before the gods. Unusual here are the secular scenes, in the small side rooms of the entrance corridor, showing foreign tributes, such as highly detailed pottery imported from the Aegean, the royal armoury, boats and, in the last of these side chambers, the blind harpists that gave the tomb one of its alternative names: ‘Tomb of the Harpers’

Stop At: Tomb of Ramses IV, Valle de Los Reyes, Luxor Egypt
The tomb of Ramses IV (KV 2) in the Valley of the Kings is rather different than most other tombs built here. This tomb is by far the most spectacular of the other tombs you will see. The hieroglyphics on the wall depict scenes from the Litany of Ra, Book of the Dead, Book of Caverns, the Book of the Heavens, Book of Amduat, and the Book of the Night. The blue and white colors on the walls inside the burial chamber are very vibrant and you can see the king’s sarcophagus made of rose-colored granite. There is also a beautiful scene of goddess Nut on the ceiling, where she is depicted swallowing the sun, and it traveling through her stomach, for Nut to give birth to it.

Such as the Temple of Ramses III “Habu”, one of the most important Pharaonic temples. Its establishment dates back to the era of the Twentieth Dynasty in ancient Egyptian history, and it had a special religious sanctity for the ancient Egyptians.

Temple of Amun, also known as Karnak Temples. You visit what is considered to be one of the world’s greatest architectural masterpieces, namely the complex of Karnak Temples on the East Bank of Luxor. Karnak is a complex of temples built in different reigns, starting with the Avenue of Sphinxes, the Hypostyle Hall with its 134 gigantic columns, the Obelisks of Queen Hatshepsut and Tutomosis I, the Temple of Amon adorned with lotus and papyrus designs, the Granite Scarbeus of Amenophis III and the Sacred Lake. Karnak beats every other pharaonic monument: it is simply one of the most beautiful ancient monuments in Egypt
