You start the tour of the luxury temple at sunrise. The Sphingenallee, which extends to the temple complex of Karnak, welcomes you. Various pharaohs from the new empire built the temple complex dedicated to the god Amun, Alexander the Great included it in a fortress.

The Karnaktempel complex is the largest in all of Egypt and has 3 areas. It is enclosed by walls and has 4 gates. In the rear part, during the current excavations, further temples and facilities dating from the Roman period were discovered.
