Stop At: Luxor Museum, Center Corniche Ave, Luxor Egypt
Your guide will be met you at your hotel and transport you to the museum in a private air-conditioned vehicle to Luxor Museum. The museum is situated between Luxor and Karnak Temples facing the Nile. The museum is a modern building opened in 1975. In the museum you will find a unique collection of artefacts dating from the end of the Old Kingdom through to the Mamluk Period mostly gathered from the Theban temples and necropolis. Highlights not to be missed are objects that were found in the tomb of Tutankhamun, such as the golden cow’s head of goddess Hathor and Tutankhamun’s horse carriage and weapons. The stunning double statue of Sobek with king Amenhotep III and mummies of Ahmose I and Ramesses I. Statues found in what is known as the Luxor Cache are beautifully displayed with in the museum.

Stop At: Mummification Museum, Corniche El Nil St. Opposite Mina Palace Hotel, Luxor Egypt
We will move on to the Mummification Museum located on the Corniche. The museum is dedicated to the ancient art of mummification. The museum was built in 1997. The museum takes you through the mummification process and techniques used to mummify both ancient Egyptians and animals. Artefacts include the tools and equipment used, coffins and displays human and animal mummies. Following the tour you will return to your hotel.
