What to Expect When Visiting Hurghada, Red Sea and Sinai, Egypt

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Hurghada

Stop At: Hurghada, Hurghada, Red Sea and Sinai
Many flights arrive in Hurghada midday or late, so you will not do much sightseeing on your first day of your trip there.

Depending on where you stay, it can take half an hour, sometimes longer to get your hotel since our driver meet you at the Airport.

Sleep well because tomorrow will be long day.

Day 2: Transfer to Luxor, Nile cruise, Visit Luxor (East Bank)

Stop At: Luxor, Luxor, Nile River Valley
8:00 Am be ready to move with Bus to Luxor. Arrive Luxor around 11:00 am and go direct to check in at 5 star Nile Cruise with a swimming pool.

Get your lunch at the cruise and some rest and be ready to start your adventure at Luxor with your Egyptologist guide and with a private car to visit:

Karnak Temple: is the second largest temple complex in the world. Enter through an avenue of ram-headed sphinxes, gaze up at the massive columns in the famous Hypostyle Hall, and visit the Karnak open air museum.

Luxor Temple: looks and feels like a smaller version of Karnak Temple, although this temple served a different purpose than many found in and around Luxor. This temple is not dedicated to one particular god or pharaoh. Instead, it may have been where many of the kings of ancient Egypt were crowded.

Feel free to go around Luxor this dat after finish your tour to the East Bank.

Day 3: Luxor (West Bank), Edfu, Kom Ombo

Stop At: Luxor, Luxor, Nile River Valley
After finish your breakfast be ready to move to visit the west bank.

Valley of Kings: is one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world. This is a royal burial ground, with exquisitely decorated tombs for the pharaohs who ruled Egypt between 1539 and 1075

BC. There are over 60 tombs in this small area, although only a handful are open a public.

Hatshepsut Temple, this temple with its three terraces and location in the cliffs of Deir el-Bahri, has a much different appearance than many other temples in Egypt. It is dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut one of the most powerful female rulers of ancient Egypt.

After finishing your tour back to the cruise to start sailing to Aswan.

Day 4: Edfu and Kom Ombo

On the way to Luxor the cruise will stop for few hours to let you visit by yourself two nice temples Edfu and Kom Ombo temple.

Day 5: Aswan and Abu Simble

Stop At: Aswan, Aswan, Aswan Governorate, Nile River Valley
Wake up at 4 am meet your representative to visit Abu Simble ..

Sitting on the bank of Lake Nasser, not far from Egypt’s border with Sudan, sit the twin temples of Abu Simble. These temples were built by Ramesses II over 3.000 years ago, to display the might of ancient Egypt. When the High Dam at Aswan was constructed in the 1960’s, the rising water levels threatened to flood the temples, both temples were painstakingly dismantled and then reassembled on higher ground.

Back to Aswan around 1:00 pm and start your trip to see The Unfinished Obelisk, the largest known obelisk in the world. It still sits in a stone quarry in Aswan since it cracked during the excavation.

The Philae Temple is one of the most beautiful temples in Egypt, and to get here, it’s a pleasant ride by boat on the Nile River.

In the afternoon feel free to visit the Nubian Village and then take your Sleeping train to Cairo.

Day 6: Cairo – Free Day

Stop At: Cairo, Cairo, Cairo Governorate
Arrive Cairo, you will find our representative waiting for you holding a sign with your name and he will pick up to your hotel at Cairo.

Have a free day at Cairo and be ready for your day tomorrow.

Day 7: Giza, Saqqara and Memphis

Stop At: Giza, Giza, Giza Governorate
Giza:

Start at 8 am with a private Egyptologist tour guide visiting The Giza Pyramids are one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World — and it is the only Wonder to survive to modern times.

Three great pyramids, six small pyramids and the Great Sphinx and collection of small tombs sit on the Giza plateau.

Top things to do there include a camel ride around the pyramids, seeing the Great Sphinx, going inside one of the pyramids and seeing the Solar boat.

Saqqara

It is here that you can see the famous Step Pyramid of Djoser and the oldest complete building complex in the world.

Memphis:

Memphis was the first capital of Egypt, where you visit the open air museum. Highlights of a visit here include the alabaster Sphinx and massive statue of Ramesses II.

We recommend spending a minimum of 3 h on the Giza plateau, 2 h on Saqqara and 2 h at Memphis.

This places opens at 8 am and closes at 5 pm, your private car will pick you to your Hotel again.

Day 8: Egyptian Museum, Khan El Khalili Bazar and Old Cairo

Stop At: Cairo, Cairo, Cairo Governorate
Done the Great Pyramids? Devote the day to Cairo’s other highlights on a private trip to the Egyptian Museum, Coptic quarter, Islamic Cairo and Khan El-Khalili bazaar, with a qualified Egyptologist guide.

Traveling between the sights by air-conditioned minivan, explore the Egyptian Museum, home to some 165,000 artifacts including Tutankhamun’s treasures.
