Hurghada Trip Overview
Our tour start in Hurghada to Cairo, visit the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx and Pyramid of Zoser, then to Aswan, visit the High Dam is the highlight here, along with a stop at the Philae Temple. The next day sees you onboard a traditional felucca, where you’ll spend a day and night experiencing Egypt in its natural wonder. Sail up the river, enjoying the relaxing view as you go, to Kom Ombo. Here, you’ll find a spectacular temple, a unique ‘double temple’ place dedicated to the crocodile-headed god Sobek and Horus the falcon-headed god. After this, a stop at Edfu Temple. Then it’s onto Luxor and a tour of the east bank taking in the vast Karnak temple complex and the historic Luxor temple. The following day sees a visit to the west bank and the world-famous Valley of the Kings, plus a stop at the temple of Hatshepsut. We then back travel to Hurghada.

What to Expect When Visiting Hurghada, Red Sea and Sinai, Egypt

DAY 1: Hurghada
Upon your arrival at Hurghada airport you will be met by our local representative. You will then be transferred to your hotel and check in.
DAY 2: Hurghada – Cairo
Early morning we’ll take an air-conditioned private mini bus to Cairo. we’ll visit the Egyptian museum to learn more about the country’s incredible ancient history, followed by the old city of Cairo.
DAY 3: Cairo – Aswan
Early morning your Egyptologist guide will accompany you to the Giza pyramid complex, where you can see the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Pyramid of Khafre, the Pyramid of Menkaure, and the Great Sphinx. We’ll then visit Sakkara to see the unique step Pyramid of Zoser. Overnight on the road to Aswan by an air-conditioned private mini bus.
DAY 4: Aswan
Upon arrival your hotel in Aswan, you take some time to freshen up before we begin our Nile quest by visiting the High Dam of Aswan, where your guide will explain to you how the construction of the dam and subsequent creation of Lake Nasser. We’ll then take a short boat ride to Agilkia Island to explore the Temple of Isis at Philae.
DAY 5: Aswan – Nile felucca cruise
Early morning you have the option of joining an optional excursion to Abu Simbel, two massive temples built into rock on the western bank of Lake Nasser. After breakfast we’ll check aboard our felucca for one night to Kom-Ombo. Relax and enjoy the amazing views as we navigate the River Nile on a traditional felucca wooden sailing boat while drifting along one of the world’s oldest waterways.
DAY 6: Nile felucca cruise – Kom-Ombo – Edfu – Luxor
This morning we’ll reach the Temple of Kom-Ombo, a unique ‘double’ temple dedicated to both the crocodile god Sobek, and the falcon god Horus. After we’ll head to Edfu. Also dedicated to Horus. We’ll then continue on to Luxor, where we’ll take an afternoon tour of the east bank and experience the incredible Karnak temple complex, part of the ancient city of Thebes. We’ll finish off the day with a tour of Luxor Temple.
DAY 7: Luxor – Hurghada
Morning we’ll start our tour of the west bank of Luxor with the world famous Valley of the Kings, where you can enter some of the incredible tombs of the New Kingdom Pharaohs. We’ll then get to the Temple of Hatshepsut, the mortuary temple of the only Pharaoh Queen that ruled Egypt. The day will finish off with a visit to the great Colossi of Memnon, the last remains of Amenophis III’s temple. We’ll then take our air-conditioned private mini bus to back Hurghada.
DAY 8: Hurghada
Free day for you to enjoy however you wish.
DAY 9: Hurghada Departure
Your tour ends after breakfast at our hotel in Hurghada, with transfer to the airport for your flight home. If you wish to extend your stay in Hurghada please contact us.
