Stop At: Ay-Champagne, Ay-Champagne, Marne, Grand Est
We will visit my village Aÿ-Champagne who is fortunate to have an exceptional Terroir classified at the highest level of the Champagne Appellation, in Grand Cru with historic hillsides which are classified as World Heritage by UNESCO.
You will learn a lot about the history of Champagne, vineyard work, process, sustainable viticulture, Champagne Houses and independent producers, grape varieties… In Aÿ, we will stop in front of the headquarters of prestigious Champagne Houses such as Bollinger, Deutz, Ayala…
We will enjoy among this exceptional landscape, in the vineyard*, a romantic unforgettable gourmet Champagne picnic (with 1 bottle of Champagne from an independent producer/grower of Aÿ for 2.
Optional on request (in comment when booking and to be paid on site in addition 25€/pp) you will highlight this moment by sabering your bootle of champagne (opening a bootle of Champagne while using a sword!).
*in case of bad weather, it will take place in a local Champagne bar and dining

Hauvillers is one of the most charming and famous villages in Champagne, it is called the “Cradle of Champagne”.
Also, it is one of the few villages with Aÿ where UNESCO has classified its historic hillsides as World Heritage.
We will stop there to contemplate in the vineyard one of the most renowned panoramic view of the Marne Valley.
