Le Moulin de la Galette, originally Le Blute-Fin, was a family owned grain mill. The same family suffered tragedy over two consecutive generations due to foreign invasion in the 19th century. It’s history thankfully became far more festive afterwards!

This statue pays homage to a performer based out of Montmartre in the 1960s. She was considered the pinnacle of feminine beauty, and as a result an odd custom has developed at her statue.

The patron saint of Paris, and as the first bishop of the city under Roman occupation, Denis was executed for his beliefs.
