This island has preserved many scars from the liberation of Paris in 1944. Here your guide will unfold stories of how La Résistance fought back, and show you the buildings that still bear the signs of battle.

The City Hall of Paris has been at its current site since 1357. In times of unrest it becomes the seat of resistance as with the French Revolution, La Commune and the WWII Insurrection.

Rue de Navarin was home to not one, but three of Paris’ most famous brothels. Here we will discuss the history and impact of prostitution in Paris.

The most well known Parisian cabaret, this popular nightclub has been in operation since 1889 and popularised the scandalous performer known as La Goulue.

Le Moulin de la Galette, originally Le Blute-Fin, was a family owned grain mill. The same family suffered tragedy over two consecutive generations due to foreign invasion in the 19th century. It’s history thankfully became far more festive afterwards!

This statue pays homage to a performer based out of Montmartre in the 1960s. She was considered the pinnacle of feminine beauty, and as a result an odd custom has developed at her statue.

The patron saint of Paris, and as the first bishop of the city under Roman occupation, Denis was executed for his beliefs.

At a local bistro, your guide will teach you the history of, and how to, sabre a champagne bottle! Of course, you may then take your time to drink the bottle before we go to our final stop on the tour. This is a great chance to pick your guide’s brain on where to go for lunch or dinner!
