Bordeaux Trip Overview
NICE & ENJOYABLE WALKING TOUR TO EXPLORE THE CHARMING NEIGHBOURHOOD OF BORDEAUX WITH OUR IN-HOUSE SOMMELIER WITH WINE & CHEESE TASTING.
This tour is designed by our in-house Sommelier. He will take you on a stroll through the UNESCO wine merchant streets, many of which are 300 years old. We will walk for almost 1H30min to discover the neighbourhood of the Chartrons while learning about the different grape varieties used in Bordeaux, the important wine regions, how to pick up a bottle in a supermarket, what is the 1855 classification, how to read a label like a professional, the historical monuments of the district and much more! At the end of the tour we will put all the theoretical knowledge into practical “learning by tasting”…Cheers!!

We start our tour in the heart of Chartrons also known as Old Wine Merchant street. Situated on the “Port de la lune” (the french name for Port of Moon) also a pet name of Bordeaux dating back from the 17th Century. Today they are all World Unesco heritage.

The biggest world wine exposition Museum. Here you will learn about the wine regions and grape variety while admiring the beauty of the 21st century Museum from outside.

You will be surprised to know the amazing technology used behind to create this awesome looking bridge. Here we will learn about new technologies used in making wines.

This is one of the oldest bridges, it was constructed for Napoleon Bonaparte, dating back to the early 19 century. We will learn the connection of wine with the kings.

Oldest temple of Protestant which also served as a warehouse to store some beautiful artefacts of the Museums. Reopened after 30 years in 2019. We will end the tour here and start our tasting just next to this beautiful Church in a Wine Bar.
