Stop At: Chiatura, Chiatura, Imereti Region
Chiatura, the beauty of Upper Imereti lies in the steep valleys and deep canyons around the Kvirila river. The city which has an exceptional charm because of relief and a distinctive form of public transport. Take a step back in time, get a feel what it was like during a days of Communism in a city that it was founded as a mining colony, which in the zenith of its own glory, was one of the most developed and successful industrial cities in the world, with its exclusive, exceptional surroundings, varied and spectacular nature, with unique historical monuments, monasteries and churches.

Stop At: Monastery Mgvimevi, Chiatura Georgia
Mghvimevi unique Monastery of Savior name, VIII century, is located in the rock cave at the right bank of the river Kvirila and its climbed to a height of 35 meters and represents double nave basilica. The facade of the building is decorated with very luxurious decorative items. On the other side of the cave entrance is a small church of VI century monument, named Saint Catherine, is completely in the rock and has only a facade built with stone. The facade is decorated with Georgian ornaments and in the depth of the cave, the spring water is flowing, what gives to this place idyll. The Mghvimevi Nunnery Monastery is one of the most outstanding monuments in Georgia with its location. In the valley of Katskhura river are located two magnificent historical Monuments surrounded by beautiful nature.

Stop At: Katskhi Pillar, Katskhi Georgia
Katskhi Pillar is notable site, one of the most popular tourist spots of the country and one of the symbols of this region, which has been entered into the Red Book, as one – of – a – kind natural formation. The height of the erected upright Pillar is 40 meters, and it’s square surface area is roughly 150 sq. m. On the upper deck of the Pillar stands a smallish church, where the monastic life and liturgical prayer comes from the year’s first of our century and continues to this day. On the column found the remains of the church – Cripta or Akldama and marani. At the bottom of the Pillar is the Bolnisi type cross that dates back to the VI century. Surroundigs of Katskhi Pillar and it’s top are covered with wide – leaved plants and lianas.

Stop At: Cableways Chiatura, Chiatura 5500 Georgia
Chiatura is attractive for its cable cars (in this city was built the first passenger cable car in the USSR 1954), which have become a symbol of the city and which are generally used as the main free public transport in the city. There are several unique monuments in Chiatura, whose analog is not found in Transcaucasia.
