The brewpubs are from another time, simple but of great value. Regional specialties like Geräuchertes (smoked ham) go perfectly with the the very much local brews, often served via gravity dispense by the brewer himself. These are beers you’re not going to find back home and they’ll have you pining for them once back there.
-Please not the Sunday departure follows a different route in a slightly different area and hence takes in different breweries and is about half the distance. This option is also possible on Saturday.
