This is the Munich Opera House; we’ll stop here for photos and a brief explanation.

This is the former royal palace of the Wittelsbach Monarchs of Bavaria. The courtyard is open to the public and provides us with a lovely place to stop and take photos and talk about the history of the monarchy in Bavaria.

Our tour begins and ends at this square; we’ll take a few minutes before the tour to go over safety tips for the ride, and we’ll point you in the direction of public transportation after the tour. This also makes for a great spot to explain the essentials of Bavarian history so that you have an understanding of the monuments we’ll see throughout the tour.
