Unter den Linden is a residential and commercial street in the Berlin district of Mitte. Rebuilt after being destroyed in World War II, “the Linden trees” are one of the most popular sights in Berlin.
Here you get an overview of the most prominent buildings and hear the story of how they were built, the bombing and the reconstruction while walking along this boulevard towards the “Pariser Platz”

The Hotel Adlon Kempinski is one of the most luxurious and famous hotels in Germany. It follows the tradition of the original Hotel Adlon, opened in 1907, which burned down in 1945 and was demolished except for one side wing.

Destroyed in the Second World War, it was in the border area of the divided city from 1961 to 1989 and was then rebuilt. The Brandenburg Gate is located on the western edge of the square.
