Stop At: Paleo Faliro, Paleo Faliro, Attica
The Athens Riviera: Your journey heads to the Athens Riviera with its many popular beaches & restaurants as well as experiencing many of Athens distinct neighbourhoods along the way such as Palaion Faliro, Glyfada, Vouliagmeni and Varkiza before continuing to the tip of the Athens Peninsula with breath-taking sea views along the coastal route.

Stop At: Lake Vouliagmeni, Ethniki Odos Athinon Souniou, Vouliagmeni 166 71 Greece
A natural rock formation & small lake set just off the sea front. The waters of this spring have been used by locals for decades as a health treatment & you will have the option of stopping here for a swim. The site is also equipwd with changing faclities.

Stop At: Sounion, Greece
ORGANIC FARM VISIT. On arrival at the farm you will take a picturesque 45 minute stroll in the company of a farm guide who will highlight the natural cultivation processes of traditional Greek produce with permaculture. In addition, you will see how food is cultivated & understand the benefits of permaculture for ourselves, the soil, the economy & the planet.
For children, unique features such as the ‘chicken tractor’, ‘worm farm’ & ‘biodiversity pond’ are wonderful additions to the route whilst adults may like to try olive oil or honey tasting (additional 1 hour activity on request at extra cost).

Stop At: Temple of Poseidon, Cape Sounio, Sounio 195 00 Greece
At the southernmost point of the Peninsula of Athens we come to the Temple of Poseidon. Located 70 meters on a clifftop this amazing temple was dedicated to the God Poseidon. It was the last thing Ancient sailors saw on leaving port & the first site on return with many legends to learn.

Stop At: Ancient Theater of Thorikos, Thoricus 190 01 Greece
The Ancient Theatre of Thorikos built around 525 BC (around 2500 years ago) is the oldest known theatre in the world but lies almost forgotten & a short drive from the more famous Temple of Poseidon. Without guards or fences one can just walk into this site & imagine the performances that once graced its stage with the backdrop of the Aegean sea in the distance.

Stop At: Sounion, Greece
The Attica region is surrounded on 3 sides by the sea so no wonder that dozens of beaches are available. The best ones are found along the so called ‘Athens Riviera’ along your route and are more organised but there are also many further towards The Temple of Poseidon if you prefer something quieter. Whatever your beach preference, just let your driver know & he will include the best option for a swim or just a final drink by the sea before your return.
