Itinerary

Day 1: ATHENS/CAPE SOUNIO

Stop At: Greece, Greece
On your arrival at Athens airport you will be greeted and taken to your Athens hotel in the comfort of an air conditioned car. Athens has an array of amazing hotels, and we know you will thoroughly enjoy your one night stay in Athens. In the afternoon drive along the coastal road, passing the wonderful beaches of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni & Varkiza to the most Southern point of Attica, Cape Sounio, where the white marble pillars of the Temple of Poseidon stand. On the way, you have a splendid view of the Saronic Gulf and the little islands offshore. After visiting the Temple of Poseidon, you have time to walk at leisure on the rocky promontory of Sounio. Return to your hotel. In the evening you have the opportunity to book optional our Night out in Athens tour: Your evening begins with a short panoramic drive through the city centre and on the slopes of the sacred hill you will be able to see, admire and take photos of the illuminated Acropolis. Then a pleasant walk through the narrow picturesque streets of Plaka, the old city, will bring you at a Typical Greek Tavern where you will enjoy your dinner following a floor show with live music and Greek Folk Dances in traditional costumes. Otherwise afternoon at leisure. Accommodation 2020: Hotel Jason Inn or similar 3* Standard / Hotel Novotel or similar 4* Superior. Day 2: ATHENS – CANAL OF CORINTH – EPIDAURUS –NAUPLION – MYCENAE – OLYMPIA

Stop At: Greece, Greece
Breakfast in the hotel. Leave by the coastal road to the Corinth Canal (short stop). Drive on and visit the Theatre of Epidauros, famous for its remarkable acoustics. Then we will proceed to the town of Nauplion (short photo stop), drive on to Mycenae and visit the Archaeological Site and the Tomb of Agamemnon. Then depart for Olympia through Central Peloponnese and the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis. Overnight in Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic Games. Accommodation 2020: Hotel Antonios or similar 3* Standard / Hotel Europa, Arty Grand hotel or similar 4* Superior. Accommodation 2021: Hotel Olympic Village or similar 3* Standard / Hotel Europa or similar 4* Superior. Overnight in Olympia on half board basis. Dinner included.

Day 3: OLYMPIA – DELPHI

Stop At: Greece, Greece
Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning visit the Archaeological Site with the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium and the Archaeological Museum. Then drive on through the plains of Eliad and Achaia until the magnificent bridge which is crossing the Corinthian Bay from Rion to Antirion. Pass by the picturesque towns of Nafpactos (Lepanto) and Itea, arrive in Delphi. Accommodation 2020: Hotel Hermes, Hotel Olympic or similar 3* Standard / Hotel Amalia or similar 4* Superior. Accommodation 2021: Hotel Hermes or similar 3* Standard / Hotel Amalia or similar 4* Superior. Overnight in Delphi on half board basis. Dinner included.

Day 4: DELPHI – KALAMBAKA

Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning visit the Archaeological Site and the Museum. Depart for Kalambaka, a small town stated at the foot of the astonishing complex of Meteora, gigantic rocks. Accommodation 2020: Hotel Orfeas, Hotel Antoniadis or similar 3* Standard / Hotel Divani, Amalia or similar 4* Superior. Accommodation 2021: Hotel Orfeas, or similar 3* Standard / Hotel Grand Meteora or similar 4* Superior. Overnight stay in Kalambaka on half board basis. Dinner included.

Day 5: KALAMBAKA / ATHENS

Stop At: Greece, Greece
Breakfast in the hotel. Visit Meteora, among striking scenery, perched on top of huge rocks which seem to be suspended in mid-air, stand ageless Monasteries, where you can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine art. Return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia, Thermopylae (short stop to see across the road the Leonida’s Monument). Arrive in Athens early in the evening. In the evening (after 20:00 p.m.) transfer to Athens airport and flight back. Please arrange your travel arrangements accordingly or an additional night in Athens (not included).
