Pass By: Athens, Athens, Attica
Meet with our Tour Leader in our office and depart immediately for Cape Sounion with our luxurious air – conditioned coach. Approximately 1:30 hours drive along Attica’s scenic coastal road, which offers a great view to the Saronic Gulf. Pass through some of the most beautiful suburbs of Athens, such as Glyfada, Vouliagmeni and Varkiza and admire the idyllic beaches and the small islands offshore.
Stop At: Vouliagmeni, Vouliagmeni, East Attica Region, Attica
Stop at Vouliagmeni area in the Riviera of Athens and marvel at the majestic view of the suburbs. Enjoy your time there by hearing stories about the famous coastal side of Athens, its unique vibe, stroll around the area and take amazing photos with an extraordinary view.

Stop At: Sounion National Park, Lavreotiki, Greece
Drive through Sounion National Park and be astonished by the unique nature and landscape, a few kilometers away from the vibrant city of Athens. Discover small vineyards and olive tree gardens, hearing stories about the local production of wine and olive oil

Stop At: Incuse CHAOS, Agios Konstantinos 195 00, Greece
Our second stop is the amazing geological phaenomenon of Incuse Chaos in the Sounion National Park. Marvel at the enormous round gulch with a perimeter of 500 meters and a depth of 70 meters. The crater was formed by the collapse of the mining stoas from the ancient quarries that exist in the area. After this, we will travel to our main stop to Cape Sounion for 1 hour.

Cape Sounion, the southernmost tip of Attica, is a significant strategic point, whence the city-state of Athens controlled the sea passage to the Aegean Sea and Piraeus, the central port, as well as the Lavrion peninsula, comprising the rich silver mines thanks to which Athens emerged as a leading power in the 5th century BC.

Stop At: Temple of Poseidon, Cape Sounio, Sounio 195 00 Greece
Our main stop is Cape Sounion and most specifically the Temple of Poseidon built in the late 5th century BC. You will hear the Mythical tales of Theseus, Ariadne and Minotaur and will explore the Temple of Poseidon, God of the Sea, whilst enjoying a breathtaking panoramic sunset view of the Aegean Sea.
