Itinerary

Day 1: Day 1

Pass By: Kalambaka, Kalambaka, Trikala Region, Thessaly
When you reach Kalambaka we will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel in for the check-in. You will then have some free time for relaxation before your afternoon Sunset Tour begins.

Pass By: Meteora, Meteora, Trikala Region, Thessaly
At 15:00 we will pick you up from your hotel with our mini-bus for an approximately 4-hour Meteora Sunset Tour. During this tour you will have the opportunity to enjoy the panoramic views, admire the remarkable architecture and natural beauty of this unique landscape and witness one of the most breathtaking
sunsets you will ever see.

Stop At: Saint Nicholas Monastery, Kalambaka Greece
The Monastery of Saint Nicholas of Anapafsas is literally suspended in air on a small rock and is the first monastery that we meet on our way from Kastraki village to the stone forest of Holy Meteora.
Duration: 1 hour

Pass By: Holy Trinity Monastery (Agia Triada), Kalambaka Greece
The Monastery of the Holy Trinity is the third oldest monastery in Meteora and is the most difficult to reach, since the visitor has to cross a downhill path and then ascend 145 steps carved into the rock.

Stop At: St. Stephen’s Monastery, Kalabaka 422 00, Greece
The Monastery of Saint Stephen’s is located just above the city of Kalampaka and is the most accessible monastery in Meteora, as there are no steps to reach the entrance and the access is easy through a small stone bridge.

Stop At: Byzantine Church of the Assumption of Virgin Mary, Kalambaka Greece
The Byzantine church of of the Assumption of Virgin Mary is situated in the old district of Kalampaka and is the oldest preserved monument in the whole region of Meteora.

Stop At: Kalambaka, Kalambaka, Trikala Region, Thessaly
After the sunset tour ends we will transfer you back to your hotel in Kalambaka. At the evening you will have free time to explore the town of Kalambaka or the nearby village of Kastraki.

Day 2: Day 2

At 09:00 we will pick you up from your hotel for a morning Meteora Sightseeing Tour. During this tour you will have the opportunity
to admire Meteora’s spectacular landscape, view the monasteries and learn all about the place’s history and myths.

Stop At: Roussanou Monastery, Kalambaka Greece
The Roussanou Monastery, also known as Arsani, stands on top of an impressive vertical and steep cliff of Meteora, between the Monasteries of Saint Nicholas Anapafsas and Varlaam.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Varlaam Monastery, Kalambaka Greece
The Varlaam Monastery or Monastery of All the Saints is located on an imposing rock exactly opposite of the Great Meteoron and it is the second largest monastery.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Great Meteoron Monastery, Eparhiacos dromos Meteoron, Kalambaka 42200 Greece
The Monastery of Great Meteoron or Transfiguration of Christ, expresses the greatness and history of the Holy Meteora, as it is the oldest and most important monastery.
Duration: 1 hour

Pass By: Kalambaka, Kalambaka, Trikala Region, Thessaly
After the tour ends we will transfer you back to your hotel in Kalambaka and that’s how your journey to Meteora concludes. If you leave Kalambaka by train or bus we will also offer you a complimentary transfer to Kalambaka’s Train/Bus Station the same day.
