Stop At: Domaine Paterianakis, Heraklion, Crete 71003 Greece
We start our escape with a wine tasting at the family owned Paterianakis Winery in the heartland of Heraklion’s wine making region. The winery is run by the Paterianakis sisters and they can be spotted around the premises making wonderful wines! Your private wine guide will walk you through the tasting, and very often the wine makers introduce the wines to their guests.
We’ll also be visiting hidden gems in and around the area such as Byzantine churches and historical monuments.

Next we visit one of the main pillars and icons of Cretan winemaking, Lyrarakis winery. A very short drive from the first winery and under the olive tree in the picturesque vineyards of Lyrarakis, commences our second tasting. Their full range is on offer for tasting along with a show and tell around the property.
Your farm-to-table lunch is served under a canopy of green foliage by the vineyards!
